Cherry jam | How to cook cherry jam | Cherry jam recipe
Well... there is really a lot of work with those cherries 😊 until the cherry jam is cooked!
But how delicious it is to open a jar of delicious homemade cherry jam with freshly baked pancakes in late autumn or winter. Or bake a delicious cherry cake with coffee or tea. Or maybe simply put a heaping spoonful of jam on a slice of baguette and eat it with milk...
When such thoughts are in the head, the work smokes like a pipe. Especially since I have helpers to pick and remove the skins from the cherries!
Most importantly:
Heat the jars
Remove the pits from the cherries (I have a tool 😉)
The proportion of sugar and cherries is 1:1 (in my case, 4 kg of cherries + 4 kg of sugar)
Cook the jam for 20 minutes
