Another issue is, who's egg did the surrogate get pregnant with? If it's her own then she's under no legal obligation to hand over her own child in the same way as if you get pregnant and decide to give the baby up for adoption and then change your mind. If you are carrying your own genetic child usually the mother has no obligation to give it up.

I feel like the surrogate is the one that did this for clout this couple. I’ve been watching them since they’ve been started and you can clearly tell they’re in love and this is a real relationship. They wanted to build a family. This lady lied to them sold them a dream just to turn around and tell them I don’t want to do this anymore, I can’t do this anymore.
