Yep, cab spillage happens! I was on a crew in Wyoming cutting wheat on steep slopes. Heading down hill probably 90%+ full, a huge rock appeared in front of header. Jerked the hydrostat to neutral, didnt hit the rock but back wheels came off the ground and combine leaned forward and rested on the header for a about 15 seconds as I was puckered up trying to regain composure as wheat poured over the cab and into the header .....mostly! Lowered the header and got all the wheals back on the ground. Whew!

My thinking is how much more are you really going to get done in a day by filling it past 90% full...especially if you can't make it to the end to turn the auger around the right way

You can put the fuel trailer on the back of a grain trailer if you have the "Pintle & Ball "combination hitch. Check state laws. 11:15

I have always thought they should make the cab roof tilt forward with a brim. So the grain spills right back onto the head and back into the cab so you get a never-ending loop of overflow.

A four ft section of 4" PVC pipe (or 6") capped off on both ends, then filled with several containers of Tannerite, shoved partially into a beaver dam (gotta leave some exposed for a target) works really good. And its fun for all ages.

Thanks for another great video Brian. It was interesting. A combine with poor brakes coming down a hill must have been exciting Brian. Got you awake any way-ha!!!!!!!!! Night harvesting has its challenges for sure. Sounds like Dad Brown has his combine back together and ready to go for tomorrow. Yea!!!!!!! Brian , heartfelt thanks for your note about Veterans Day. I appreciate that. Did 28 years in the Air Force all over the world. Once again, thanks Brian. Guess that is it till tomorrow. Getting your corn acres down there. Believe you said 200 acres left. I white board to keep track on would be nice. We did that also. Handy to look at. Thanks for everything Brian. You all take care and be safe. Thanks. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.

I had the rear wheels come off the ground while unloading down hill in my great Uncle's ol 715 International combine a couple of times. Wasn't a fun experience. Combine had a 22' grain head which was a little to big and heavy for the machine. So I can imagine what you had to indure.

Dad had a good place to work on the feederhouse. Can only make you wonder how many hours he's spent doing shade tree mechanics over his lifetime!!! Looks like the finish line is getting closer. Not a good situation when combines are prone to nose-diving. Glad all is ok.

Hey Brian just letting you know I have had to resubscribe 3 times this month. I learned from another channel that KZfaq has changed its algorithm to kick out bot subs. I guess they think I’m a bot because I only watch KZfaq videos I’m disabled and miss working and other activities and live vicariously through these videos. I subscribe and like every video I watch to help creators so I think they have me pegged as a bot I’am not. You might want to ask your followers to check and watch for this. God bless your family and workers hope you have a prosperous year. 😉

Being disabled sucks! Believe I know firsthand. I watch a lot of farming videos and different working outdoor jobs. Most people have no idea how great it is to be able to go to work and do something worthwhile. I used to work in the forestry service industry doing controlled burns running dozers and driving a tractor planting trees. I still miss going to work being outside and the people I worked with.
