Hi there where did you get programmed?? dealer here in Canada says must be a new part, they cannot program an used part, did you find a place that program USED rack?

im having problems with power steering and my locks go crazy while driving. They lock and unlock alot... and the car starts to jerk... what is the problem?

Hey Anderson hope you are doing well, lately I have been faced with a stiff steering wheel with my 2011 Chevy Cruze. It’s really hard to turn the wheels around, are you familiar with this problem and I have also changed the power steering rack but I didn’t program it, should I take it to a mechanic to get it programmed with my VIN? thanks.

Thank you. My dealer changed my steering gear on my 2016 gen 2 Cruze, manual transmission. After the work was done I noticed the 3 transmission mount bolts were not tightened and I complained to the dealer about incomplete work, and they stated they did not loosen the 3 transmission mount bolts. My question to you is it necessary to remove the 3 transmisión mount bolts? Thanks!

So I’m going to put a used one in my Cruze will it be able to be programmed to my car being that it was already programmed to another car?

I have a 2017 chevy cruze and i am replacing the power steering rack. My question is, because i want to be 100% sure... does removing the cradle have any effect on the motor mounts? This would actually be the second time i am replacing the rack. First time was from a scrap yard and it didnt last long, but this time it is a brand new part. the first time i did the rack i was able to just remove the bolts on the sway bar and twist the rack out, but this time i am finding that very difficult to do. I just want to make sure i got everything right. Battery is already unhooked, steering column is disconnected, rack is unbolted from cradle and unplugged.

I have put it in but two different mechanics haven’t been able to program it! What can I do?

Im changing just the electrical motor. Not touching rack at all. Just the motor. Does that need a program?

Is this the same for a 2015 Buick verano?

I know you're probably busy but I too have several questions if you get the time to read this and can answer them I would be forever grateful to you I just recently replaced the transmission for my papa my first time ever and I did it on his 2015 Chevy Cruze 1.8 engine LS doing so I took the subframe down I later find out that's where the power steering pump is located and I put it back of course and when we started the car it was running great only problem was before the transmission replacement the car wouldn't move or shift gears correctly but there was no lights on the dashboard that Lit Up now after the replacement of the transmission the car does accelerate the gears do shift perfectly except now we got a power steering service light and a stable track or whatever it's called we thought maybe the tie rods were upside down but I double checked it and they seem okay my papa's used to filling a car with power steering but I have heard this car doesn't have power steering fluid I just bought the repair manual today so I'm checking into it as soon as we pull out the driveway and make a left turn we hear a click and the power steering service light clicks on the dashboard it becomes rough for a second but if you keep turning the steering wheel it like breaks it out of that lock and it goes fine but it's still very scary it does this every single time can't seem to understand what I did wrong other than maybe I pulled on the tie rods too much to get them in place or the brake pedal when I had to undo it to lower the subframe when I put the brake pedal back on it was moving crazy like it was weird and I hope it didn't turn too much before I put it back on and maybe I put it on in the wrong position if that makes sense the brake pedal from inside the car you know if you could please let me know I know it's a lot of that I just explained but like I said me and my papa would be forever grateful I did however replace the transmission and where is running great other than the power steering messing up they helped so many people tremendously you are awesome

How about just replacing the electrical motor out? Also, if you do have to do all of that, there is no need to keep the engine held in place with stands ? something
