the shop is very capable of testing this before you say it. I was here for another programming and they are inundated with work. If i can lighten their load and give you a video .. win win. #strongertogether #TBT

Every time you work on a Chevy van i think about the airbag deployment i had 10 years ago..the wire harness under the drivers seat shorted and set the bag off...inches from my head...i still having hearing problems ...but like men we keep on trucking ..cheers amigo

Quick and easy. Got to love it when you can get to them without a jack and stands or a lift. Hey Keith, I made my own pressure transducer and put up a video on it. A long time ago you left a comment on my diagnostic tool tour about something you were going to show me how to make. I saw it the other day and I don't remember seeing anything. Do you remember what it was?

Keith, just curious: since the Tech 2 is the GM factory scan tool, can it do EVERYTHING on GM vehicles? In other words, if you only worked on GMs, would that be the only scan tool you'd ever need?
@chekelley68614 жыл бұрын
You should do a short bio video, how you got started, where you got your training and so forth. It would be interesting.

Thanks for the video! My 2013 Express 1500 just threw a P219A code. Runs okay although sometimes there is a bit of hunting at slight throttle. Suggestions of where to look? Also, any suggestions on test equipment for GM for the home user? I have basic ODB scanners but none seem to be able to do the output testing/etc that yours does. Thanks!

First things first. We need at least the idle fuel trims, both short and long term please
@CoreyStup4 жыл бұрын
@@NewLevelAuto I'm using ODBLink's little app to capture the data, they offer a "DTC freeze frame" which I believe is data captured at the time of the P219A DTC. This is at idle, after a warm up drive cycle, engine at operating temp. DTC Freeze Frame data: Short term fuel % trim bank 1: 4.69%, bank 2: -3.12%. Long Term fuel % trim bank 1: 2.34%, bank 2: -3.91%. Real time data: (I believe this is min, avg, max, current) ST Fuel Trim Bank 1: -4.69%, 0.36%, 3.91%, 2.34%. Bank 2: -5.47%, 0.86%, 6.25%, 3.91%. LT Fuel Trim Bank 1: -4.69%, -4.04%, 1.56%, -4.69%. Bank 2: -4.69%, -4.69%, -4.69%, -4.69%. (yep all -4.69%). Any suggestions in that madness? :) thank you so much for reading!

Keith, Probably a dumb question but if I don't ask, anyway I have made several test lights from watching SMA and I always see you go for the Noid light. Can you tell me what the amperage draw is. I do not have a set and was curious. Thanks

Got one question on this one Keith. that Noid light is LED isn’t it? Yes I see that the driver for the PCM is working but does that give the circuit enough load to verify proper voltage and ground? Only asking because I’ve been burned by a noid light lighting up when there was indeed a voltage supply or ground issue.
@NewLevelAuto4 жыл бұрын
Not led . Incandescent and draws 970ma. The cheaper the kit the better 😊
@jaythomas8274 жыл бұрын
I was also wondering if there’s enough load with a noid light? Is there a wire size rule of thumb?
