For this stadium, YES!! I understand public transportation, pot holes, water lines will all need to take a backseat, but this stadium gives us pride.

It’s would be where Soldiers field is located. Plus if they did it right. They could use city owned land the Old Michael Reese hospital. Use shuttle buses to go to and from. It would give it plenty of parking. And tailgating .

I’m pro choice. Let the Bears fans pay for their stadium. Leave the rest of us out of it. The city can’t fix pot holes. They can’t make the city safe. They should subsidize rich old men?

Taxpayers in Milwaukee paid a bunch for AmFam Field. When we got that paid off, now we are having to pay for renovations to the building. Why don't they just tack on an extra dollar or two to ticket prices. Let those who go to games foot the bill. Be careful what you wish for.

There's not exactly many other large enough open areas in the city for them to build their own stadium, you know? So if this doesn't work, then they'll just move outside the city. In the end, any future money from events will just go to some suburb like Arlington instead of the City itself. All the jobs to. But I guess the White Sox need a new stadium instead or something?

@@raybod1775 If the city would allow it, but they won't. The land is owned by the city and they want to keep getting their cut of future revenues from its use. The team doesn't get all the money, so why should they pay all of the bill to?

It's the same exact stadium the Raiders built which was 1.9 billion(2.2billion 2023) so why is it 3.3 billion for the same exact stadium?

Arlington heights used the Bears to get that outdated racetrack demolished. Now the Bears are the biggest land owners in the state. They have free will.

They got off easy Arlington Park. The Bears demolished that old neglected racetrack. And are now the biggest landowners in the state. Crime and homelessness has been in Chicago for years. It’s far from being a Johnson issue. Where were the homelessness under Dailey under the expressways!

hotel tax gets extended into forever....still owe $600 million on the current stadium using hotel tax so how long do you think this one will take to re-pay???

It’s because funding from public transportation, pot holes, water pipelines will be allocated to the stadium. So citizens will agree to a tax increase to support infrastructure.
