As a hawks fan I don't see it changing much in regular season as long as we have smith or locke as starters. We simply do not match up well with starters in general compared to other teams. Our playbook is so obvious too.

As someone who recently moved into the Chicago area from Seattle this game was just pure comedy to watch

Was at the game tonight, obviously an ugly one till the end when Eason showed some potential. We gotta make him our back up and cut Geno. We've seen enough of him.

Eason is Seattle's best chance. As far as arm strength, not many can match it. Kirby wasted him at ga and he only played one season for Washington. Only played 2 years of college football so he's probably never been properly developed.

These pre-season games are for helping to determine final roster cuts and getting starters a few live reps in a near-regular-season-like atmosphere (oh, and generating revenue also). Winning is nice, but it's 100% irrelevant. A lot of conclusions are being drawn based on the play of 3rd or 4th stringers, not to mention all of the players we're watching who won't even be here during the regular season. I'm not saying the Bears are going to run away with the Division, but I also wouldn't be all that surprised if they pull out 8 or 9 wins this year. Especially if the line pulls together and gives Fields halfway decent protection.

As a Seahawks fan I don't believe we should really start Geno in Week 1. He just manages the game and doesn't have a lot of upside. Lock or Eason is the way to go here

Man. Even though this wasn’t a good showing for them, watching highlights from Seattle’s two preseason games, you can really see on the field how much better they got w/ the draft they had. Cross, Mafe, Melton, Bryant. And their RBs are pretty damn good without even seeing Kenneth Walker yet, who might be the best of em all. Didn’t totally see it at the time, but they crushed this draft.

I hope Chicago continues in this direction. In a year or so I could see them being a play off team once they build a great offense around Fields and and beef up the defense

I’m not surprised they played like this, and I love seeing our depth being solid. It isn’t by mistake.

We gotta see more play action this year from the bears. Fields was ELITE last year in play action passing. Matt Nagy never ran them despite Fields being at the top of the league in that category.

Man if the Chicago can just somehow get their offensive line to just be even a little bit more competent I'd say this is a real good spot to be building from. It feels like the coaching staff is definitely building something strong here and with a season or 2 under their belt and some good acquisitions we might be in for some good times but also... it's the Bears lol. Those penalties that were killing the Seahawks offense - that was us, so to see it almost completely removed from our game is a good sign so far!
