For comparison, I arrived in Chicago in 1989 with all my stuff in one duffel bag and $60. I spent night #1 in a cemetery, was a guest of good samaritans a total of five nights - and, by then, was working and had a place rented. “Government aid” was limited to one sack of food from the food bank. Compare this to the golden path presented to these illegals.

I would refuse to house any non-related people, for simple facts that 1. Once they get a foothold in your home, they have more rights than you do. So you can't just kick them out. 2. Cost of your utilities rising horrendously. 3. Them eating your food you bought with your money 4. Have to worry about theft of money, valuables, fraud, etc. 5. Good chance of being assaulted, be it sexually or just getting beaten.

I use to work as an electrician, and a contractor I did work for had 4 people from Mex. They split a 1 bedroom apartment sleeping on cots, wired money home every week. The contractor says a lot of them do this for a few years then go home well off.

Forced? Nobody was forced. I haven't had any of them. I was asked and encouraged to get it, but I said no every time. Who, besides children and nursing home residents, was forced to get it?

@@SusannahLockett fear of losing a job is not being forced. Those ppl could have chosen to work elsewhere or ride it out the best way they could. They weren't forced because a specific job is not a human right. Many ppl quit jobs to protest against taking the poison. Those ppl are still alive and kicking without that garbage roaming inside of them because they CHOSE to stand on their values and common sense. I have ZERO sympathy for this who took it for a job. That's the most asinine excuse one could use

SO irresponsible. My woke neighbors-particularly the ones with the annoying rainbow colors that starts with, “in this house, we believe…” should each take in one illegal alien. Seattle is like a poor couple who can’t make rent; they decide to have a child who’d like a puppy for Christmas & so as not to disappoint the child-they get a puppy. Guess what? They couldn’t afford rent for themselves before they decided to have a kid & buy a dog.

Gee, you know what might work better than this mess? If they apply for and get work permits, documents, background checks, health checks, vaccinations, and legal status BEFORE entering the US. That way the economic migrants can work in their home countries until they get approval to come and work here. 😑 You know like legal immigration

Im not a Migrant but have faced housing insecurity all my life. I have learned that people will house you to try and control and manipulate you. It is always the children who really suffer.
