Chickens get Winter Wheat, DIY feeder box

I fenced off an area and seeded it with winter wheat 6 weeks ago and today I'm letting the chickens go to town on it. Also, a quick look at a new diy feeder I built for the chooks.

For a dustbath, chickens will always choose a sunny spot if it is available :) Your chickens look great.

Paula Beattie Thanks! I have given them quite a few spots around the yard for dust baths. They're funny though, they find a spot and just set up shop.

I love how much you love your chickens! My first house came with 2 wandering chickens, and I cobbled together a safe - if ugly - house and run for them. The next spring I built them a much better home and added about a dozen more after discovering how utterly cool they were :) Who would have guessed they had such personalities!
