CHIEF ARVOL LOOKING HORSE
Arvol Looking Horse was born on the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota. At the age of 12, he was given the responsibility of becoming the 19th Generation Keeper of the Sacred White Buffalo Calf Pipe, the youngest ever. He is widely recognized as a chief and the spiritual leader of all three branches of the Sioux tribe.
He is the author of White Buffalo Teachings and a guest columnist for Indian Country Today. A tireless advocate of maintaining traditional spiritual practices, Chief Looking Horse is the spiritual leader of the Big Foot Riders which memorializes the massacre of Big Foot's band at Wounded Knee.
Chief Looking Horse's prayers have opened numerous sessions of the United Nations and his many awards include the Juliet Hollister Award from the Temple of Understanding, a Non-Governmental Organization with Consultation Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. He lives on the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota. He is the father of 3 children, Farin, Makas’a & Cody as well as many youth he has adopted.
Film interviews with Arol Looking Horse on spirituality, tribal history, and advice for American Indian youth are a featured part of the documentary film and DVD on the Crow Shoshone Sun Dance entitled Native Spirit: The Sun Dance Way. An illustrated book, Native Spirit: The Sun Dance Way, by Thomas Yellowtail (recorded and edited by Michael Fitzgerald), also features his counsel.
World Wisdom has prepared special video clips of Arvol Looking Horse speaking on a variety of different subjects. They can be viewed at www.worldwisdom.com/public/res...
PAULA LOOKING HORSE
Paula Looking Horse in an accomplished traditional Dakota singer and artist. Her musical credits include opening for the Indigo Girls, touring Europe with Keith Secola and other notable native artists, and composing and producing her own cd, Songs of a Black Hills Woman.
She has been involved in Native rights for over 40 years, organizing Wopida (Great Thank You) Ceremony in 1984 for the Sacred Pipestone Quarries in Minnesota. The following 7 years she helped organize the Sacred Pipestone Run through all SD Reservations to bring attention to the mass exploitation of the selling of the sacred stone aka “the blood of the people”.
She is one of the four graduates of Red Schoolhouse (RSH) in Minnesota and a subsequent board member. RSH was the first alternative school to teach Traditional Native education curriculum - bringing forth historical truth vs. inaccurate history books in Public Schools. She brought her organizational skills to World Peace and Prayer/ Honor Sacred Sites Day in 1996 and has been a moving force in creating the events ever since. She is also the mother of eight children and many more adopted throughout her life.

Blessings and love to you Paula and looking horse. Thank you so much for the work and awareness the both of you do. I must say you two are a lovely couple Paula you are a beautiful soul from the inside to the outside, and looking horse is a very handsome man with a pure heart and I think the two of you are paired together perfectly. You each compliment the other. I see him as the stem and root and you are leaves and soft petals of the flower and many many more blossoms in bloom for the two of you.

The Indian power comes from them keeping their ORIGINAL sacred ways , prayers, and actions, and dances and ceremonies. Never let those sacred things go or be forgotten. The White Buffalo ceremony and prayers is the strongest one. At least it use to be.

Great Respect & Love to all the indigenous peoples ❤️ The battle begins in our minds, let each of us around the world, align ourselves (with discernment) with Great Father (not the Adversary/the Fallen one, who tricks us to worship him) & Holy Spirit. Let each of us use our gifts for good to return Balance; spiritually, emotionally, physically. Aho!❤️

Spirit has been sending me these messages about the sacred tree, the stars, the sacred hoop. I came to SD for the Sundance in 1996-98 and fasted and prayed at Bear Butte, and now I am being led to reconnect.........Mitakuye Oyasin.... I am finding ways to help Mother Earth through actions like collecting trash on our beaches, prayer, giving to sacred trees and planting trees,and will reach out to others..Sending love to the Lakota Nation.....and prayers.

Thank you!!! Your love, prayers and deeds are heard among the Lakota, and around the Sacred Council Fires of all the Bird Tribes. Nature must abound again, and become a Temple of God once more, unlike the sty that man has made for himself, for mostly man is an unworthy house-keeper of this earth. Thus, the coming karmic storms will shake him off it for all time, like a tree that is shaken and cleanses itself of all rotten fruits in mighty autumn storms, and thus man will be no more, lest he can humble himself in some kind of service for Mother Nature, and before the Great Spirit... and the Almighty Father/Grandfather. So may all know that every little helps in the new upbuilding, and having the humility to focus upon the small, the great will take care of itself, for it is the curse of men that they wish to become and do the great, but now is the time for humbleness, lest ye prefer spiritual death, and physical destruction. Amen!

Thank you and bless you for all that you are doing. In the name of everything good, please reconsider trusting all that 'experts' say; there is more than one view and the system is not to be trusted. Beware of trusting the same people who have always decieved; they pay for research and most of those they educate believe the views that are false, which is why we do not 'feel' that they are lying, as can we do with others.When everyone thinks the same thing, somebody is not thinking. We each need to look after our scared fire, and avoid smorthering it with other people's magic.

It’s true all elders walk a path to loneliness and heartfelt compassion for all generations like old elephants walking slow to the end where the trees and the caves meet. Trees All standing tall and watch by, We all with heart in tow we whither away it is how we Gracefully bow to life and ending the final chapter like a final booklet left in a crevasse to find one day a life lived, breathing one breathe one life, we do it and with Humility embraces us all like babes in the loving arms of earth. Even in COVID-19 we all strive for grace and liberation in the loneliness and the end however it may come. God’s will or thine own be done. I’d say plant seeds organic and grow because you might be an ancestor any day now. Life is precious that’s all we have to remember. Gracias adios. To new greener beginnings. All blessed to forgive and begin again. We are strong we are committed and we will not cease. We are the angels. Life continues beyond all thought relationship and experience. Elderliness is part of all of us embrace all life fully never fear it. Wrap it in your arms like a blanket life is breathing life. We must stay safe, smart wear a mask and be better breathing is the gift we must oxygenate this earth back to ley lines of higher Consciousness
@BearSoetero
@BearSoetero 3 жыл бұрын
@@roshanacoy5303 You lost me when you wrote "smart wear a mask" for this is an idea of the enemy of truth. If your belief of staying "safe" is following the instructions of your oppressor, you have already ceased to live.

the lakota have always taught their most powerful ceremony more powerful than Sundance than vision quest more powerful than sweat lodge is the woman's menstruation ceremony , woman is contraction absorbing energy men is expanding penetrating, when a woman menstruates if she puts her prayers into the blood the intent is absorbed then given to earth the pray within the blood is conceived and what she prays for will come true you must encourage and support the women in doing the most powerful ceremony , only pray for the good health and happiness of all

Irish folk did it to other Irish folk , same in my country Scotland . They allowed themselves to be divided , mostly by a 2000 year old religion . I like my local priest but he's not any wiser than you or me . The ones who left our land here due to potato famine and highland clearances went and helped steal the native Americans land unfortunately wether they realised it or not .
