CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Andy (Alex Vincent) and Kyle (Christine Elise) believe they have finally destroyed Chucky (Brad Dourif), only to find him still alive. Kyle ends Chucky's life by putting an air hose in his mouth.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A derivative rehashing of its predecessor (which itself owes a heavy debt to Trilogy of Terror), this sequel details the plight of young Andy (Alex Vincent), who in the previous film narrowly escaped losing his soul to make room for devil-doll Chucky (voice of Brad Dourif). Possessed by the spirit of serial killer Charles Lee Ray, Chucky had coveted Andy's body as a replacement for his own plastic shell... which ended up beaten and burned beyond recognition. At this film's outset, Andy's mom has suffered a nervous breakdown as a result of the prior human-vs.-doll battle, and Andy has been taken to a foster home. In the meantime, the makers of Good Guys dolls decide to reconstruct the scrappy little toy, hoping to prove the doll's harmlessness and sway public opinion. Alas, this is a major horror-movie no-no, and Chucky staggers obnoxiously back to life, with a renewed interest in body-swapping with Andy. Not awful as horror sequels go, this follows the standard horror-franchise formula (such as upping the gore quotient with each sequel) but manages to throw in a few appreciable scares, particularly at the climax (which echoes that of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining).

Without a doubt one of if not the most satisfying death scene for Chucky in any of the CP movies considering that he dies by getting his head exploded after getting a hose shoved up his mouth. Add to the fact that he dies in front of his enemies (i.e. Andy and Kyle) makes this death scene even more iconic and unforgettable.

To my memory, I can't think of a more gruesome end to a movie villain. Hand ripped off, gets impaled with more doll parts, loses his legs, gets melted with hot liquid material, then his head exploded from air pressure. Just name something that outranks that.

I hear so many people say that Chucky’s death was the worst he’s got in Child’s Play 3. In my honest opinion, he gets it way worst here. He got his hand ripped off, a blade shoved into the wound(which he technically did himself so he’s only asking for pain), his legs chopped off, his groin area stabbed multiple times, hot wax/molten plastic dumped onto him, and his head inflated slowly until it blew up. He was completely human at this point so he felt all pain possible. While Child’s Play 3 tried to look creepier visually with his death scene, the torture Chucky went through seems a lot worst in this situation.

I have a feeling the filmmakers had a ton of fun thinking of how much punishment Chucky could go through in Child's Play 2. They knew they were going to make the movie a bit more fun and not quite as serious as the first film, Chucky is a wisecracking killer doll after all, and Brad Dourif sells Chucky's reactions perfectly.

Child's play 2 was the first horror movie that disturbed me as a child, in fact, my older bother used to scare me through Chucky, so imagine how terrified I was, while sleeping. Nevertheless, over time I realized there are worse things than Chucky doll like Pandemic lol.

Hilarious how a adult man who is a serial killer gets outwitted by a 6 year old little boy numerous times. Even though he is in doll form you would think he would be able to figure out how to kill a little kid. Andy is a badass.

Not only that, Chucky mostly relied on the unprepared, he'd take all of his victims by surprise, even before the first transfer. Andy is the first one to be aware of Chucky, hence always expecting him to attack. That's why Chucky, had to sneak around instead of just hide in plain sight.

Another thing, the way Andy's mother and the Detective were prepared in CP '88 was because Chucky wasn't used to the new body he was in. He didn't perfect how the doll would be a good distraction.

I think why Child's Play stands out is because of Brad Dourif's unbelievable performance as Chuckie. He made the character unbearably evil and it always drew you in. Every time.

I think that one of the MANY reasons why Chucky keeps coming back is because the heroes don't completely destroy his doll body. If the heroes can find a way to completely destroy Chucky's doll body with him inside of it, and make sure that there's nothing left of him to bring back, he won't be able to keep coming back.

This factory is one of the most garishly decorated (and very much coolest) sets ever designed for a feature film.....kudos to you, Universal! I dare venture to say this whimsical assembly line was one of my earliest inspirations to pursue engineering as a young lad, and 30+ years late it still fascinates me. Here's to the best Chucky chapter of them all!

I watched the movie with my older brother when I was almost six. I was terrified. At some point I needed to go to the bathroom and asked my brother to come with me to turn on the lights together. He (as he didn't want to lose any minute of the movie) told me not to go to the bathroom because chucky was going to pop-up from inside the toilet. I was afraid to go to the toilet alone 2 years after that.

Since I was a child Ive been scared of chucky, it wasnt until we first saw this movie with my 2 years old little brother that I felt like a stupid because everytime chucky got on screen he laughed out of control and really enjoyed it. Good old times.
