CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Chucky (Brad Dourif) takes Andy (Alex Vincent) to the Good Guy factory and attempts a voodoo ritual to transfer his soul to the boy. Kyle (Christine Elise) arrives and saves Andy, just as Chucky realizes it's too late and he is forever stuck in the doll.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A derivative rehashing of its predecessor (which itself owes a heavy debt to Trilogy of Terror), this sequel details the plight of young Andy (Alex Vincent), who in the previous film narrowly escaped losing his soul to make room for devil-doll Chucky (voice of Brad Dourif). Possessed by the spirit of serial killer Charles Lee Ray, Chucky had coveted Andy's body as a replacement for his own plastic shell... which ended up beaten and burned beyond recognition. At this film's outset, Andy's mom has suffered a nervous breakdown as a result of the prior human-vs.-doll battle, and Andy has been taken to a foster home. In the meantime, the makers of Good Guys dolls decide to reconstruct the scrappy little toy, hoping to prove the doll's harmlessness and sway public opinion. Alas, this is a major horror-movie no-no, and Chucky staggers obnoxiously back to life, with a renewed interest in body-swapping with Andy. Not awful as horror sequels go, this follows the standard horror-franchise formula (such as upping the gore quotient with each sequel) but manages to throw in a few appreciable scares, particularly at the climax (which echoes that of Stanley Kubrick's The Shining).

The part where Chucky was buried by lots of Good Guy doll boxes Until he punches out. Kind of reminds me from Toy story 2 when buzz knocked down a lot of boxes of toys just to open the Auto slide door. After he escape he accidentally activated an emperor Zurg action figure which he also punch out.

In my opinion Child's play 2 was better than 1 because they stepped it up a little more in terms of his killings , his humor and being vicious . The whole warehouse scene is the most iconic in all the chucky movies because it takes you to where it all started 💯

Did anyone else notice how in this movie how Chucky takes his time saying the Damballa chant whereas in the original & the 3rd he rushes it because someone & or something intervenes but only because in this one he doesn't know Kyle is after Chucky in the Good Guy Factory? I figured he would rush it in this one too because the more he becomes human with his soul sealed in the doll.

Chucky should've possessed Andy earlier considering that he had many opportunities to possess him but for whatever reason he kept wasting his time killing random people instead of trying to possessing him right away. This is why the incantation didn't work considering that Chucky spent too much time in the doll's body and kept wasting time killing random people instead of trying to possess his target. (i.e. Andy.)

And yes i know Chucky kills people considering that they were interfering with his chant/incantations but that ends up prolonging his human soul inside the Good Guy doll's body even further. I mean had he not kill those people then he would've possessed Andy much sooner.
