My one question is whyyyyyyy do OBGYs ignore this kind of knowledge 😢💔
@dinosaur___7209
@dinosaur___7209 Ай бұрын
Because modern obgyns are in a profession built off of stealing the job of childbirth from women and torturing women for centuries since they did it (uncomfortable medical procedures w/o womens comfort in mind, experimentation on women -literally, on pregnant women in general but also enslaved women for the modern foundations of it, forcing women to birth in unnatural positions like laying on our backs, etc).

Bc they prefer to sit down and have a well lit birth canal at or just below eye level in front of them.

@@ajaxajar4349 so wierd tho right... like do they feel all mighty watching a new human enter the world? Is it like a power play? Stay in this exact position bc I said so. 😑 🙄
@ajaxajar4349
@ajaxajar4349 Ай бұрын
@@natabulous6429 I think for some doctors it's for sure a power play. For others it's just, "we've always done it this way," "I need to be able to see in order to act appropriately," OR "this is my 12th birth today I need to be comfortable." But like srsly, just wear some comfortable shoes and get over it. If it were me, I'd rather deal with lower back pain than have my patient have to get stitches from a torn perineum.

Gave birth on Mother’s Day this year and watching your videos gave me strength to be able to do this natural. I was on all four on the bed and pushed him out in under 2 minutes. I felt like a horse 😂 and I thought I was going to die 😅 but fast and easy no stress on the baby. I’d do it all over again so they never feel an ounce of stress coming into the world. Breathing and meditation was key to overcoming the pain. Thank you 🙏

Just don't let them. Honestly, when it came to my 3 unmedicated vbacs I had to be tough because they 100 percent attempted to control my birth. I allowed pitocin because I didn't mind speeding it up and do very well with it BUT when it came to positions they wanted me on my back if they knew I was close to delivering. Something that helped me was I allowed checks up until 6 cm(just my preference you can fight to have no checks at all I just wanted a general idea becauseI labor 1 cm per hr) after that no checks because they are going to attempt to catch me around 9cm. I'd always just say "not just yet" which really meant nah.. Anytime they asked did I feel a need to push I played dumb. "I don't feel like I need to push yet." It worked mostly fine and 2 of those being the last babies and honestly they slid out just from allowing my body to do it and I was able to birth my favorite position which is head at the headboard. They definitely looked annoyed but thankfully IDGAF. 😂😭 baby 5 and as long as we can confirm for sure I don't have accreta I'll be playing that game one more time. Lol Sad we even have to do that but I have to have hospital births simply from having a rare health problem that if it decides to act up while my body is stressed I'm in a safe place so no home births for me, unfortunately.

If this is the case (and it makes complete sense honestly) then why do they make hot lay on your back with your knees outward…that would mean your pelvis is closed off. 🤷🏻‍♀️

When I was giving birth to my daughter my body would go to this position and I pulled back and made to lie back down on my back to give birth. Mind you I chose a drug free birth and I was in labor for 3 days. Yes it was hard at times but I wouldn't change anything except being able to be in the position I wanted to be in originally. Without having doctors mess with me

You dont always get that choice. Things can go very bad very fast. My third baby was born in hospital with a midwife that was part of my obgyn staff. He was a shoulder dysplasia baby and stuck badly. Emergency c- section was on standby and they almost called it. He came out blue/ purple not breathing, no crying, limp, no apgar and needed immediate neo-natal care. If i were home he would have died, and this was my third child after 2 other normal deliveries. Its a risk i would never take after seeing that.

I really wish i would have invested ina birthing coach for my last kid...having had 2 kids prior that were between 5 and 7 lbs was no issue for me since i have wide hips(im 5'9" and weaigh about 138) ...but thw last baby, omg! He was 9lbs and 11oz. It took me 6 months to walk without my hips feeling like they were loose and sliding out of socket...then the years of pelvic issues and pain afterwards...i still have severe pain and other problems. I gave birth to him while.lying on my back, it was terrible..he got stuck and both of our heart rates and my bp dropped significantly

Thank you , Peterborough city hospital. My midwife looked at me and said "you're fully dilated" then lowered the bed completely flat. I said "I don't want that", she told "me I had to". when I julted onto my shoulders and tiptoes because of the pain involuntarily, she pulled my legs straight so I couldn't move until after my baby came out. She told my partner it was normal. Is it normal? Is it normal that every single word or request is ignored by the midwife?? I completely understand that midwives deliver babies everyday however the average human being possibly has 1- 4 babies.

They made me put my ass in the air like a dog for 2 and 1/2 hours trying to get my son to flip over. Mine you the whole time there's a nurse coming in and out telling me how it would just take two fingers and 2 seconds and she could have the problem fixed and we'd be ready to push. Eventually I had to ask her to stop telling me how easy you can make it on me unless she was going to do it. She said she will lose her license. And my ass stayed in the air for another hour LOL... That sucked
