I keep telling everyone that I have never seen a more epic performance than this. I think she's speaking towards the puppet master; and she's freeing herself. She's like 19 y.o. and performing it without an audience during the lockdown. Still, we feel the authenticity and suppressed rage.

I noticed that right away, the marionette style movements and the coquetteish poses. It’s more like she’s cutting strings, not fingers. She totally lives her performance, acts it out and emotes it through and through. Masterful.

There’s a guy named Chris Liepe who does reactions but also breaks down the vocal work in the songs. He does this one and you really should watch it if you enjoyed this video a lot, because he shows just how impressive the whole thing is. My favorite insight was how she holds that ridiculous long note-and then you 100% expect her to come back with the quiet voice, but no she stays at exactly the same power and octave she was just at, from dead silence. Like a vocal 0 to 100 on the dime. Also, shout out to that piano. Gorgeous.

Oh man, I have been waiting for this reaction ever since I saw you discover her and Ren and it did not disappoint! I knew that as soon as you saw her on her own, doing her thing live, that you would lose your mind. Chinchilla is the role model young people need to see succeed because she’s doing it on pure talent and hard work. Not to say she isn’t beautiful - because she is - but her talent is what sets her apart and I love to see a strong woman succeed. I would love to see you react to Cut You Off and Elements next. Both Ren and Chinchilla finnished with the same management company at the same time Ren went on and did the song Power and Chinchilla did this I believe they screwed her over big time . Were very critical of her wieght ( Hence the exaggerated shape of her coat and pulling her down lines . ) this is her just telling them she can make it on her own .and dont mess with her . I knew you would hear it. Not everyone can, you know, hear the deeply tied emotions to each musical expression. It is a soul snatcher. She'll put it in that box...with his fingers. You also noticed her clothing choice. Few people mention it. She almost never shows skin. Probably the, "most revealing," outfit she has worn, if you can even call it revealing, was in Little Girl Gone video. I don't think she's a prude. My guess is her label wanted to sexualize her image, she left the label and now wants to cut his fingers off. And forever more she will make sure everyone knows that it was her talent that raised her, not her body.

Little Girl Gone is brilliant too. She has an official video and a live Requiem version. You should react to both if you can in that order. The Requiem gives the original such a different vibe! Also, I’m in Texas. I get that Beyonce’ isn’t your jam but her song and her matching line dance are everywhere here. They are two entirely different styles but Bey knows what sells. You should check out Chinchilla and Ren doing Drunk In Love. In Beyoncé’s, she is being swept away and caught up in a magical night. In Chinchilla’s version, it’s like she’s sitting down with a cigar and a bourbon and telling you exactly how the night is going to go.

When she was at the UK voice and sang "I Put a spell on you", originally Screaming Yay Hawkins, the judges said "Wow.. Who are you?," and she replied "Chinchilla". And the judges again "Wow, cool name". And sir Tom Jones asked "Where did you get your hat, I like it and your clothes?," Chinchilla: I make my own clothes and hats. And they liked it even more that she already have her own style. And the female judge also said she thought she had heard Chinchillas voice on the radio. 📻 Her confidence on stage and her voice (witch was"something else", was impeccable too . All I can say BrainSqueeze is that was an F'ng brilliant reaction. As you seemed to enjoy the live version of Fingers, may I suggest to try the studio version next brefore moving onto Chinchilla's other songs - the video is also on Chinchilla's channel. Although its more pop orientated it does demonstrate Chinchilla's production chops, insane (in many ways) performance characterisation and inventive storytelling. Chinchilla developed complete backstories for the six characters she plays in the video (inverse Henry VIII vibe), that is set around a Cluedo theme including a 'chalk outline figure' (which was likely one of the sparks to the song 'Chalk Outlines' that she co-wrote later the same year with Ren). It also contrasts Chinchilla's genuis and skill at being able to recast her songs as completely different concepts between their Live vs Studio performances.
