Love your channel, Mover, but incursions with foreign militaries has been going on for decades. My father flew the Berlin corridor in the cold war many times. Too many stories for a KZfaq comment

In Iraq an A-10 downed an Iraqi helicopter using I think a Mk.82, may have been a CBU though. Interesting to hear that the USAF actually trains for that scenario.

I'm not sure about OIF but in Desert Storm, both A-10 helicopter kills were with the gun.

It's not if but when one of Chinese fighters collide with a another military asset from another nation. It's happen before. You would think the Chinese would make their own pilots keep a distance from others since their slanty eyes can't see well? I mean, have you ever seen them drive?

Chinese GPS systems, as well as Russian, US and European systems, are used in GNSS that is capable of providing positional data accurate to within a couple of millimeters. So where any of the aircraft were flying shouldn’t be a question.

Make that a few metres, but your point is correct, they all knew exactly where they were. The issue is where the Chinese would have us believe their airspace extends.

The only group that thinks that this wasn't international airspace/water is china, you could give them accurate GPS data to the micrometer and they wont care because they ignore international rules and laws even if they have signed them

@@timgosling6189 Thanks for the reply. As a note, accuracy of GPS-type localization has improved radically over the last several years. For example, search "HBK 3DM-GQ7-GNSS/INS" made by MicroStrain. This is a commercial version, but model plane and mobile robot hobbyists have systems available to them with the same performance for less than $400 US, but without all the industrial hardening. Some claim accuracies of 10mm.

You don’t think keeping a potential threat to various countries sovereignty in check is important? Making sure trade routes remain free and open, etc. Global peacekeeping and shows of force are an unfortunate side effect of living in a world of different cultures and ideals.
