A 60-year-old woman has become an online celebrity for her cooking tutorial videos. Lu Aimei has been the sole carer of her two disabled sons for more than 20 years. Her eldest and second sons both suffer from a progressive nervous system disease known as Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) that has paralysed them since adolescence. After allegedly being subjected to domestic violence at the hands of her husband for years, Lu moved out with her sons in 2012 to start a new life.

@@antoniakoseva6399 i understand your point but your experience is not the same for everyone, someone who doesnt feel is ready to have children shouldn't have them, motherhood is way more complex than people like to to admit. I have a huge respect for women who love their children and love being a mom, but not every woman is ready or would like to do that job

@@antoniakoseva6399 Unfortunately, it's not that simple and natural. Lots of women don't feel the love they were hoping for after having a baby. This later leads to frustration and regret over life. They are raising these children more of a duty. Not every woman who wants to have children will find herself in motherhood. That's why it's important for women who are not sure about it to be even more careful. That's okay, everyone is different after all.

Really? Thats a happy thing to you? Idk i think they should have far better health care so that all of them can live together with assistance for the mom so she and her sons can focus on each other. Medical devices like wheelchair ramps, bathtub lifts etc.

They stayed in their mom tummy for 9 months(man will never understand the pain woman felt when she give birth, it was so painful.. needs to carry a heavy stomach, careful with what she eats, careful when she walks bcz needs to protect her baby in her stomach and have to fight with her life on the line so that she could give birth to her babies.. some woman die bcz wanted her child to come out from her stomach (some father blame their child bcz their wife died while giving birth to their child)

I like that although the sons are disabled and have trouble doing simple tasks, they still try their best to help out by helping to film and edit the video. It’s a team effort!

I have a brother who has Down syndrome. We are all Chinese but I mainly speak English as I was born in Britain. 🇬🇧 My brother is 13 and I am 11, I am taller than him by a head. Watching this is really heart-warming because my mum vowed to live longer than my brother just so she could take care of him every moment of his life. I love my mum and dad and my dad only recently just came to Scotland because he needs work in London. Before that, he had worked in Beijing. He loves my brother but in a spoiled way so if I was to decide who the better carer was, I'd say my mum. she's been with me and my brother our whole lives and my dad hasn't even been with us for a year. I only go back to china to visit my family and I have never lived there.💗

This is the kind of mother every child deserves. I grew up as an orphan after my parents abandoned and abused me . Leaving me back on the streets as a Teenager. This video really hit me hard. I'm so glad those boys have her. I also wish I could help them somehow but I am lucky if I even have some kind of food on the table every day. Best of wishes to you and your family!

What maked me cry about her, is that even after all that suffering and all the love she gave to her childreen, she still wants to helps others when getting more money, and not just thinking of resting, what a wonderful pearson she is.

*Sometimes what others refer to as suffering for whomever they're looking at may not be seen as suffering for said person. (Unless of course they're obviously suffering) Especially if they have found a way to manuever through whatever experience. I can see why she had a mental breakdown after realizing that both of her sons had the same disease because this realitization more than likely had her step up to a few plates.

She reminds me so much about my mother I was shedding tears the whole time watching I don't have a disability but I was a very sick little girl and my brother also for some reason we kept getting pneumonia when we were little also the doctors said we would never walk my mom proved them wrong she practice with her hands on are legs mimicking walking till we walked on are own I think I run faster than the average person and I loooove dancing lol 🤣 btw my mom had lupus so I wouldn't suggest women who take medication for lupus to have kids that's why we had those birth defects

"I brought the boys into this world, so I must treat them well" Such simple words that I wish to hear from my mother who's this close to abandoning me to my grandma. I'm not disabled and I try to help most of the time, but I feel like mom abuses it because she treats me like a maid most of the time. My mom also sought her own path by now by seeking her "own happiness" by finding a man (who I don't approve of because he's married)

I wish she would live in a functional state where the social workers can help her like in Germany or the EU... In Germany the disabled get free apartment, free care, free transport and are supported till their very last day, in china they get under 200 yuan (27eur) in some cases nothing and are left in a ditch...

Not only the mother, but her son are also so so strong. All of them have a smile on their face, even in such situations where they had to beg. This gives me strength to deal with everything and shows how small my problems are.

As a fellow single mom to an autistic kid I will tell you, we. Can. Do. It. Cause we do it everyday! There is no need to be perfect, or love our reality every single day but showing up fully human is more than enough :) the universe doesn't rush and so let's take day by day, breath by breath if needed and look out for support and wonder each day. We got this!

I am so very sorry to hear that. I really can't imagine the struggles that come w/ it & I'm sure it just gets more difficult as time goes by. It's just not fair is it? I truly wish the best for your mom & yourself. Just keep loving her & doing everything to make her comfortable ( I'm sure that's not easy) spend as much time w/ her as you can because life just flies by. Say all the things you want to say & hold her tight for as long as you can. My mom committed suicide last June & my heart is just shattered. I miss her probably more than I know & wish everyday that I could see her just one more time. Your blessed that you still have your mom, so love & cherish her all you can. When we see stories of how people overcome obstacles like this I'm encouraged and reminded just how grateful I am. I have nothing to complain about when you see people like this mother overcoming the obstacles she faced. Love has kept her going for her sons. She is an amazing woman.
