things fall apart is so nice novel which is introduce us with the law and the history of African social life. I m also read many novel but Chinua Achebe is so nice novel in my eyes , I think god give him extra witty for write this novel .

Susan Brown the Supreme court and Achebe the lower court, he was not just a writer per excellence but HUMBLE.

I have read Shakespeare, Charles Dickens and many other writers: European, American and other African writers. But in my mind after the Bible and Shakespeare, Chinua Achebe's two novels 'THINGS FALL APART' and 'NO LONGER AT EASE' rank foremost. That is, assuming we evaluate arts for arts sake from a general universal human perspective. Otherwise as Africans writing the African narrative, and not some jaundiced version of the African experience, Chinua Achebe for me comes tops. GOD bless & RIP.

Read the novel in high school..... My first encounter with African literature, Great mind, Great read! As a South African decent it gave me a broader spectrum of African people, I could relate and was eager to learn more about Nigerian clans.

Nnayi Chinua Achebe reads his own book beautifully. I remember reading some of his other books "No longer at ease" , "Anthills of the Savannah" , "There was a country" Excellent writer and story teller.
