Chocolate Lunar Dragon!

I want to wish everybody a Happy Lunar New Year!! Dragons are my favorite topic for chocolate sculptures, I was waiting patiently for the year of dragon to arrive! This one took 5 days of work and 100lbs of milk and dark chocolate. My favorite feature is the smoke coming out of its mouth!

Wow love how it came together like magic. As in: I hate it. I miss seeing Amaury actually doing the sculpting. We went from eggs to a DRAGON HEAD in a single cut.

I agree. I wish the videos were quite a bit longer so we can actually see the skill and time involved in making these masterpieces.

I guess it's to appease the younger audience. You know how they need these quick flashy cuts to be entertained and be focused on the video. If that's the case is kinda sad. I like when he sculpts them.

@@ryuno2097It's 3mn tho, so it's already way beyond your basic "short form" content. For such a massive sculpture, a 4 or even 5 minutes cut (like the race car) would not be out of place. Then again maybe the technique was nothing special so they wilfully decided to skip the sculpture for this one as they already got several 4mn-ish builds in the last few weeks.

Totally agree! The old videos were more enjoyable cause you could actually see him “bulding” the sculpture. Now it seems like a big magic trick where you miss all the steps.

It's a beautiful final product, but with that many toes, it should have a pearl. I also agree with the sentiment of missing the sculpting process.

I just watched your dragon video from a year ago and it was spectacular. Although this dragon is superior I feel cheated because of all the editing cuts and bits just appearing. I'm far more interested in watching you build the creation. Your work is so amazing I don't think people would mind watching a longer video. Thank you for letting us see your amazing work!!!

Agree. I think the jump cuts are used too often now, they're becoming a little annoying (to me anyway, but perhaps other viewers prefer them, I don't know)

Probably your coolest build yet! I love hownintimidating and regal you made the dragon look. A lot of people tend to make chinese dragons look cartoony, but this one looks very fierce!
