7 жыл бұрынThe third day of my journey around China, where I travel from Shanghai, to Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi'an and Beijing. I arrive in Chongqing after my 19 hour overnight train, and eat in the incredible food streets of Ci Qi Kou, trying some local and spicy Chongqing street food.

It's so tiring to ride the regular slow train. I would recommend flying from Shanghai to Chongqing

you should've taken the high speed rail, you can get to Chongqing 5-13 hrs faster compared to a normal train.

Hey Jason, I'm from Australia and travelling to China in 10 days with a mate. We are travelling to Chongqing from Xi'An by train and staying there for 4 nights. Do you have any tips or recommendations?

Use the metro to get around the city, it's mostly overground and you can get some spectacular views because Chongqing is so hilly. For places to see, don't miss Ci Qi Kou or Hongya Cave, and make sure you try some local hot pot, and see if you can manage the spiciest one. Keep an eye out for small local 'hole in the wall' style eateries that serve noodle dishes usually with mincemeat, they're very cheap and taste incredible, for me the best food I ate in the whole of China across one year. That is actually the third stomach of cow, it's probably the most famous ingredients for hot pot in China.
