Man's are all around characters and they can do any class without much issue. Yes dwarves lack dps because of their animations but don't forget dwarves have axe damage boost. If you are using 1h axe or 2h axe you can dish out more damage.

@@AdventureGameHotspot Yes, I want to give it a try. The ability to make the combat harder and the exp slower really appeals to me. I'm worried it will be a bit of a ghost town, and I know I'm starting at not the perfect time because the next expansion will unlock in a few weeks. But, I like the idea of not too many expansions being unlocked (only one so far, and moving onto the second) which would give me a chance to maybe get some nice group content in that I wouldn't really be able to see in the main servers. I'll join one of the bigger guilds so that should help w/ the server population feeling. I also kind of want to play some classic EQ... I'm between games at the moment kind of thinking about what I want to play next and I'm tempted by both. I've been looking into classes and I think I've centered on making a Guardian as my first character, not sure what race, most likely human, maybe elf if they can be guardians. I also actually like that the expansion unlock rate is really slow... 6 months feels better to me than the 3 month pace that EQ has. This is mostly because I'm planning on moving and I'll probably miss a few months of playing here and there. With the EQ TLP I do worry I'll miss out on a whole expansion, be behind, and then be unable to find groups to catch up. I'm not sure how much of a risk that is. (That said I was thinking of making a Shadowknight so maybe I can slowly solo to catch back up etc.) On Treebeard there will be more solo content and things I can do even if I'm behind from the where everyone else is at. Any thoughts or comments are welcome! And ofc you got a subscriber and I'll be watching your videos nice work.

@@XanderCat guardian is as solid as it gets. If you want slow, that’s the way to do it. Lol. They are a slow grind.

@@XanderCat Captain is also a great choise: Being able to heal, tank, and support fellowships (groups) damage. Also good in solo play, but group content is funniest way to do both leveling and instances +raids. As VIP you get free access to most expansions, and in first expansion Moria, there will be a lot group content so use the chance. Also VIP will give you XP boost daily, the XP stopper is 100 LP from Lotro shop. I recommend VIP not in the very beginning, but after lvl 30. You need to read the info game gives you at times, otherwise you will need someone to help you all the time
