Around 6-800 a shock. My Cadillac is running gen 2 mag ride and it’s almost 20 years old and works just as good as it did when it was new. Mag rides life span is not finite like a gas shock. It's all preference in the end. You can go ahead and scrape at every bump, but I'd rather be able to lift the car, drive it around town, and take care of my vehicle while still being able to slam it. Plus, if you get a reputable air susp. brand, they perform just as well as coil overs, because the "bag" takes place of the coil and the shock is still fully adjustable. Unless you wanna build a axle lift like Pagani, Ferrari, etc. to clear a small bump with coil overs.

Me: coilovers with Konis that are specifically valved in Germany for my E46 M3. Dual adjustable. If I had the money, I would buy TRIPLE adjustable. I know how to tune for low-speed AND high-speed compression, as well as rebound. I had a shock like that for my Honda Blackbird XXX, that PENSKE custom built for me. It was unbelievable on any surface.... and at any speed. That bike was like a rock at 190. I particularly like my caster/camber plates on my M3. Being able to adjust CASTER as well camber is incredibly fantastic. I also have adjustable links that put on preload for my giant anti-sway bar. I went out and bought SWIFT springs for the front.....450 lb equivalent. TC Kline springs in the back...650 lbs. So yes, once everything is tuned and set up, a good set coil overs on the right car, is an incredible experience.

I have an 05 Echo RS hatch, and I grabbed a set of TEIN springs primarily because coilovers were $700 more for my car! Seeing as she will only see the track maybe one day a month, I think that will do until I reach the limits of what she can take. Then again, I'm pretty sure I can push those limits further with a better tire set-up before I would really benefit from coilovers.

I wanna get air suspension, I just don’t wanna deal with the headaches. That’s why I’m leaning more towards coils, but I love the raise & lower effect, with a push of a button. Especially the slammed look when you’re parked.

It seems complicated. Is installing air difficult?

Unless you’re willing to go through stressful wiring then get a shop to do it. Saves you headache and it’ll be worth the money trust me. I want to do an install but the height sensors and wiring/lines scare me so I might have a shop do it. Better done right the first time then having to redo it multiple times

I've got an early 00s camry that I kinda want to play around with. I get it's not classic or even an ideal car to tune, but when it comes to suspension products out there I'm kinda shocked how limited the selection is. Tein looks to be the best option for lowering springs but would love any suggestions from anyone that sees this comment on an old video.

I’m running coilover’s and it’s hard to adjust. I still burn rubber whenever I hit a dip on the freeway when I have 3+ppl in the car. And it sucks cause my bro’s are running coilovers too and they don’t burn rubber :((

Im turning a 98s10 pickup into drift truck. When looking at coilovers, should i go for 1 that does what i want at the price and wedge it in there or should i look at the 3 options (not seeing a lot of choice im sayin) made for s10. Also any recommendations for rear besides a full 4 link? Love the content u guys put out also!

That depends on what you wanna do. If you know the spring rate of your car and all you want to do is lower it for a nice fitment....then probably springs. Mind you, you lose the versatility of coilovers and the ability to adjust it to your liking.

Is it a good idea for me to lower my only car? I daily an 86 and ive been planning to get tein coilovers as a first mod but since its a daily i still want it to be reasonably comfortable... am i able to get a good low fitment and still be comfortable or is it going to be a compromise? Should i just get lowering springs or should i do a different first real mod?
