I had one who could gind the label for a cut off wheel (like angle grinder mitre saw) and charged me for the wood lathe tools about it about 15 years ago. $140 went to $33.

My local Bunnings, if you try to get a staff members attention for some assistance, they pretend to have not noticed me and walk away instead. Happens almost EVERY time, and that's if you actually find a staff member nearby in the first place. They're good at hiding when not walking away. Should one actually find a staff member, don't expect them to show you where to find what you're looking for, they'll grunt an isle number at you, and then expect you to go find it yourself amongst all the overwhelming volumes of stock there, it's almost like looking for a needle in a massive hay stack.

Mate the staff are fucked. The people who give the sausages don't work for Bunnings, they are doing it as a fundraiser for whatever organization or charity they are from. I was a scout leader, there was a waiting list of like 8 months in order to have the single day of fundraising. They provide the BBQ, and at times tent, rest of the food and shit like that, the people do.

@@BardiaSaeedi It's a sausage sandwich mate. Especially good with BBQ sauce and fried onions, common at what is know as a "sausage sizzle". The only thing I can think of that made me make such a meaningless comment is too many beers.

The actual sausage sizzles are run by charity groups as a fundraiser, not by Bunnings staff. Bunnings support the groups by providing the venue, the BBQ facility and gas for the barbie, which is a very welcome contribution. We (the community groups) supply our own snags, bread, onions, sauces and soft drinks. Bunnings set the price, which has just increased.

I've never understood why Bunnings, being a hardware shop, has a section called "hardware". Literally everything in there is hardware! (Their "hardware" section is actually a fixings section.) They also can't spell, because all their signs say "thru" to gardening, "thru" to cleaning etc. The word is "through"!!! They don't put things in logical places, either. Last year I went to Bunnings to buy a bundle of star pickets. It turned out they call them something else. Being used for fencing, they should have been in the fencing department, but they weren't. I found individual pickets out in the gardening department. Of course the cheaper bundles weren't with the single pickets. There wasn't a sign telling anyone where they were either. I had to ask a staff member who told me the bundles of pickets were on the complete opposite side of the shop in the trade section! I was only there to buy a bundle of five start pickets, not one hundred of the things. I'd hardly call that a "trade" quantity.

last time i went into one, they had two women standing in the main area between the checkouts n the aisles, meant to be greeting people since apparently thats what bunnings do as part of the service... anyway they gossiping between each other and comparing themselves to other people and taking selfies... top notch service. surprised the management didnt do shit about it

I remember me and an old British guy waited to be served at the trade counter. A bunch of bunnings employees come in and sit there working out who shall do what, with many trying to tell each other like they were ALL the boss. They ALL WENT OFF and us 2 were left there, STILL NOT SERVED. Waited 45 minutes to buy a single bag if quick set concrete for a porch post. So if you ever wonder WHY your builder us late, THIS IS WHY.

In maccas they have a maccas every 5 km to get snags. I’m Australia people have a Bunnings every 5 km but the barstards only operate on Saturday. No 24/7 service with them

I got one from Bunnings the other day with my Ryobi Whipper Snipper. I said it had a vibration in the back of it, it starts and idles perfect but vibrates when you rev it, do you get many with this problem? His response was I should check the mixture of the fuel. I repeated myself saying it starts and idles perfect and his second response was still to check the fuel mixture. LOL, thanks dude.
