John is the most down to earth bloke you can ever have the pleasure of meeting... If you didnt know who he is you would think he was a punter at the races and not the legend he is... if more people were like John the world would be a lot better place...

I sat in a cold garage till midnight one TT practice , checking and re-wiring a sidecar for a workmate who did multiple TTs as a passenger and then as a driver, , very successfully….., it never entered my mind that what I was doing could influence someone’s life, you did it because it mattered , and you,lived the passion for the racing, from the guys you are helping…..great days , such emotion and memories 👍🇮🇲

When the word Legend fits. My grandfather raced at the TT and his ashes were scattered the length of the track from a hopper on the back of one of his vintage bikes. Great listening

I’ve listened to all of the collecting cars podcasts. Chris you’ve had some belters already, as a great writer and interviewer it’s always very good. But this was on another level. John really is a legend and such a down to earth proper bloke. What a laugh and such a treasure all his experience and life stories. Amazing 👍

That was the best interview I have ever listened too. Chris when its going that well just keep going, we won't get bored, could of listened to another two hours. Do another one and cover all the topics that you ran out of time for.. The best guest and interviewer.

Down to earth interview, engaging and another reason why broadcasting via radio/podcasting captures better than a visual face to face, where there is posturing and ego can overwhelm the spontaneity of open conversation. John McGuinness, like Guy Martin exemplifies the ground-up achievement of genuine racers borne out of passion not fame. Brilliant.

John McGuinness is an absolute legend and I really enjoyed this conversation you had with him. The Isle of Man TT is the most mad motor race in the world. If you just like motorcycling you have to go to this race it will blow your effing mind. For me every year it's: Indy 500, Isle of Man TT, Le Mans; those are the most important races from May to June that's where I'll be.

What a hilarious and amazing interview. I have listened to 20 interviews with JM and learned more about him each time. I have never heard the story about Guy Martin. I am sure he meant nothing by it, but it was an unfair comment and Guy still never won at the TT

5th place at LeMans. I recently got back into model car racing and bought a dark impact but I would absolutely love a VQS (Vanquish) it was my first ever car back when I was a kid , what a lovely thing it is! Superb podcast JM what a legend.
