I'm Mexicana but I was living in Belize, in San Pedro Colombia some years ago, in one ocasion I went to Dangriga and I tasted that dish and is delicious ❤

Chris you have me drooling. Belizean watching from Phx Az. I love the way you so comfortable slip in with the people. I love my people so much. I had never spent a day in Dangriga ; I must do so on my next trip which will be very soon. I love the lady’s home- so clean and decorated.

EXCELLENT meal!! Fresh food made with love. Wish I had some of that now in Southern California. At the Latino, Hawaiian and Asian markets here we can get fresh coconuts sometimes. If not, we settle for coconut milk from the can, or of course coconut powder we bring from Belize. We however, never get such fresh fish. There are advantages and disadvantages in life based on where ever we reside. Happy Easter week everyone ( happy Passover, happy Ramadan)

Run dung is what that coconut dish is called in Jamaica but salt fish is added. Or if bananas, dumplings are cooked down in coconut it’s called pakasa.

Yes Chris. It the same thing the brother them cook in Portland with the chicken. Them cook all in one. the coconut milk cook we in Jamaica call it ( run down)

A lil tip to bear in mind @chrismustlist ...When your making the coconut milk, the water that you pour over the grated coconuts needs to be hot, in order to be able to properly extract the coconut milk... 🇧🇿🇧🇿🇧🇿
