The part where Hongjoong sent a letter and a mixtape as his way of joining KQ you have to unterstad that KQ was a really small company with only a couple of emloyees and ther weren't even accepting trainies at the time so Hongjoong really took a chance sending the letter and mixtape. Often when you want to join a bigger company there is a lot more to it like auditions and stuff like that.

To answer a thought you had about their contract and if they were getting paid, yes. KQ absolutely gives them their money. Mingi bought his mom a condo. Jongho has a Mercedes. They are always teasing Hongjoong about how much money he has because he gets production money in addition to Ateez money. In Matz Seonghwa talks about how well they are doing. KQ isn't holding back from them. From what they've hinted at, KQ doesn't do trainee debt that they would have to pay back before getting paid. As for carrying KQ, for most of that time, they have, but last year KQ debuted their second group, Xikers (this is where a lot of Hongjoong's production money is coming from, he's a producer/writer/composer on all of Xikers songs). While Xikers is still small, they have a fairly good Korean fanbase so far. So Xikers are helping to take some of that weight. KQ also gets money from Edenary. KQ really started out as an agency respresenting producers and so they get a cut of music that their producers make for other groups, like Dreamcatcher. So there are mulltiple revenue streams but Ateez is their main money maker. Also the relationship between Ateez and Xikers is absolutely adorable. Ateez is very involved in Xikers and is always stopping by and checking on them to see how they are doing. It's so sweet.

Would BBT also be part of this too? Are they employed by KQ? If so, then they probably bring in money from doing choreography for other artists. I know they've done a few projects for Psy.

@@aiRbckwrds My understanding is that BBTrippin are contracted by KQ to do their choreography and backup dancers. I don't think KQ gets any money from them, other than maybe rental payments. I believe that when KQ started having more trainees they moved into their first building space and let BBTrippin rent 'office' space. That might have all changed but that's the last thing I heard.

The Demon line is not the rap line. It’s a name the fans have for Hongjoong, Seonghwa, and San because they act possessed when they get on stage. I feel like it’s a similar phenomenon to the Viking Berserkers, which according to old records would completely change their personalities during battle and become so absorbed in the adrenaline of fighting that they acted crazy.

I think Ateez has 3 main dancers which tells you how good this group is. They literally do everything with their all and they are crazy passionate and creative. Their whole team is that way and why they are as good as they are. I love seeing Ateez gain more recognition as time goes by. They are growing consistently and I love seeing them get everything they deserve because they worked for it.

Thank you for reacting man, this was really good, you asked some great questions too. But for the big 4 , YG, SM, JYP n Hybe, hybe joined after acquiring a lot of groups n businesses. But for KQ, they are still pretty small, recently (2023 interview) a member said that they now have 100 staff members, when they had started with 10. So it might take some time if they are ever even considered a big company, especially since they now have a second boy group, Xikers. About Hongjoong sending his letter. You can watch the Lee Mujin Interview, Hongjoong says there that he sent a letter n a CD with some of his tracks via mail, rather than emailing cause he wanted to be sure that they got it. Then the company moved, found his CD n called him a year later.

I really love your perspective on the “no one is perfect” thing, especially while diving into who Seonghwa is. He very recently (like this past Nov) expressed how burdened he’s felt lately in regards to “keeping up”. Seonghwa is very handsome (and one of my biases, along with Yunho and Mingi), but he is not perfect and I think it’s MORE of a compliment to him to acknowledge how hard he’s worked, how much he’s improved, and how he’s come to love himself more and extend that love so evidently to his members. Physical beauty is not guaranteed, nor does it reflect the person inside. People are most beautiful when they’re just good versions of themselves in action and word. 💚💚💚 (Very happy you seem to be enjoying learning about Ateez!)

So happy you are enjoying becoming a bigger Atiny also with the hongjoong's letter situation he sent a demo which got put into storage it wasn't found again until the company moved buildings he then became a trainee under Eden(their producer) until yunho joined he talked about it on lee mujin service...Other artists under KQ are Block B debut 2011 and Xikers debut 2023 hope that answered a couple questions

Today I realized this is why I vibe with your videos so much, and it also explains why Seonghwa is my eternal bias from ateez… but I do love all the boys. And they all frequently wreck my bias lol I hope you get to take some time and react to their more sentimental tracks. They are so freaking good! You mentioned their main vocalist, Jongho, and I have to mention his solo song from their new album… it’s amazing!!! I think since you have reacted to a lot of their title tracks already we should deep dive into their B-sides.

i want to add to hongjoong part he doesn't only produce for ateez he also produce for their company other boy group xikers he was the begging of the company the first traniee ever he apply only as a producer and become an idol was the company idea they said he was not very good at everything in the begging and look at him now he is an amazing person as well

@woosdiva9641 they talk about each other in interviews all the time and BlockB members step in on Ateez practices fairly often. BlockB is on record talking about Ateez and being really proud of their little brothers. Where have you been.

everything about hongjoong tells u he is the leader even if u don't know that fact i want to be like him as a leader in my work too because he knows when he can is the leader and when he is just a member in a whole group this is so impressive and so underrated to because not everyone can do that

HYBE turned The Big 3 into The Big 4 because they are BTS’s company (formerly known as Big Hit Entertainment). When they rebranded as HYBE they acquired several smaller Korean entertainment companies such as Pledis (seventeen’s company) and even American record labels such as Quality Control records which represent artist like Justin Beiber, and Ariana Grande. They also invest in technology companies that are doing research and development in areas like sound design and production equipment, as well as drone and holographic technology. HYBE’s CEO, Bang Si Hyuk is now the 10th richest man in Korea. HYBE rose from nothing, but now has more money than both YG and SM (who have had recent problems with tax evasion and law suits which have drained a lot of their funds) Which is why HYBE is considered “Big 4”. KQ in addition to ATEEZ only has one or 2 other groups. So although Ateez is making money now, KQ is still not considered mainstream and is smaller than most mid tier entertainment companies in Korea such as Cube.

Thank you for this reaction So yunho height is actually now 6ft 3 yunho confirmed this a while back which shocks us all even more when he stands next to all the other members 😅 Also for the driving part there is now 4 members that passed there driving test hongjoong yunho wooyoung and jongho

I have a playlist for their lore-heavy MVs, trailers, prologues, etc. mentioned in the video. Halazia was released between two of them but it's a spin-off story, so I put it after the Diary Film. Remembering that, if you start and the top and watch all the way through, including the every Outlaw album song preview, in this order, all of them in a row will help you follow the story. It's incomplete because much of the story is told in text as diary entries in the albums, but you should be able to follow it. MVs not on the list that you should watch first: HALA HALA, Say My Name, and Answer I'll add the link below in case YT decides it hates links today.
