She lost her television show as a result, and ended up in the Ed Wood movie. You should look into a movie that makes Plan 9 look like The Godfather: Manos The Hand Of Fate.

Gotta recommend Ed Wood's Bride of the Monster (a genuine Bela Lugosi movie--in that he has a complete, integrated speaking role--if not a good one) and its sort-of sequel, Night of the Ghouls (in which the main location and one character reappear despite being destroyed in Bride). Tor Johnson (AKA "Kingpin") appears in both and you WILL get the appropriate noises coming out of him! Criswell, Plan Nine's narrator, also narrates Ghouls directly to the audience IN his onscreen role! Each film is a mess like only Ed Wood could make, but while they all suffer from awful production values, excessive stock footage, terrible acting and cheesy writing, each has a notably different level of polish--Plan Nine being worst, Bride being the closest to "professional Hollywood product," and Ghouls coming off like one of those zero-budget early Roger Corman AIP movies. I will give props to Wood and Plan Nine for being genuinely subversive, though. At first glance it seems typical: the square-jawed hot-headed all-American pilot beats the shit out of the spindly, fey 'foreign' science-nerd and the day is saved! But is it? The guys who win are still working on that weapon that will destroy not just the world, but the universe. Hell, now that they know its full destructive potential they've probably excitedly moved the date for the first test detonation up several weeks. The bad guys win. And we are the bad guys.

One of my favorite Ed Wood offerings. There are so many bad/good films in his resume. You made me laugh several times with your critique, adding grunts to the dead Tor Johnson was hilarious. Would love to see you do a review of Wood's equally horrendous Jailbait, starring his girlfriend Delores Fuller. There is SO much in this movie to ridicule. I find it hilarious and pathetic; surely a winning combination. Subscribed.

@@Th3Downz The rice krispie cereal noise was by far the worst grab at a product placement. The book version read it as radio static. Which makes more sense.

Our film studies teacher was telling us about this movie and apparently Ed had his dentist to come in and play the guy’s character after he died.
