"Christ Was With My Daughter" - Radical Forgiveness

19-year-old daughter of Kate and Andy Grosmaire was shot by her longtime boyfriend Conor. She died five days later on Good Friday. The Grosmaires’ ability to forgive Conor became his first experience of God’s love and led him to a new life in Christ.

Kate and Andy, thank you for sharing your beautiful testimony of love and forgiveness. You not only forgave Connor, but walked with Christ to visit him in prison because your end goal was reconciliation. 'Father, forgive them, for they know not what they are doing.' Wow , this is crazy to me . I wish i had the faith and heart this parents have. The love of Jesus is just amazing and I cannot fathom this level of forgiveness.

The second I heard Conner say,“normal people don’t forgive the man who killed their daughter I started crying”. Only Jesus can do what happened here.

That type of faith is rare! It’s one thing to say I have faith in God and I believe it’s another to put it into action. It’s one thing to say I forgive him. It’s another two really feel it so you can get that peace in such a horrible situation.

Side prospective: connor was able to receive their forgiveness. Not everyone knows how to receive. Thank God for that family.

Absolutely incredible! If God can forgive us and they can forgive Connor. WE HAVE NO EXCUSES. WE MUST FORGIVE OTHERS. Hard. But it must be doable. It’s intentional. Not feeling driven. 😔
