In my opinion, the Jews could not believe that the God described in their own bible is exactly how it was written. They started saying but... he cant do and cant do that. Unfortunately, no one cab truly claim he knows everything about God. For example, in Genesis 18:1 it say "And Hashem appeared unto him in the terebinth trees of Mamre; and he sat in the entrance of the ohel (tent) in the heat of the day;". It is clear from here that Hashem appeared unto Abraham. But when the Jews interperete they start adding things that is not there, thus increasing their confusion about God. I take scripture the way it is written. God indeed "appeared unto" Abraham. With much respect to Rabbi Tovia, I still have not seen him interprete scriptures in way that is exactly what we have right in front of us. This is indeed amazing.

The scribes and Pharisees rejected Jesus because He was an existential threat against the religious establishment. In John 11:48, the religious leaders said: "If we allow him to go on like this, soon everyone will believe in him. Then the Roman army will come and destroy both our Temple and our nation.” Another reason why many in the Jewish community reject Jesus is because they misunderstand the prophetic timing of the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6-7: "For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders." And then verse 7 says: "His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity." It is necessary to reconcile Isaiah 53 and Isaiah 9:6-7 because either they are contradictory (the Messiah cannot suffer and rule at the same time), or there is a definite space of time between when the Messiah fulfilled Isaiah 53 (His First Coming) and the fulfillment of Isaiah 9:6-7 (His Second Coming).

@Abraham Mani: NOBODY here is EVER going to become a Christian, because we already KNOW God's ACTUAL Truth, and thousands of us here LEFT Christianity, when we allowed God to open our eyes to His Truth. If you don't ALLOW God to show you His Truth, He won't, because He forces Himself on nobody. He will just leave you to wallow in the pagan falsehoods your "blind guides" have indoctrinated you with, until you are humble enough, and care enough to investigate what God ACTUALLY said to us at Mt. Sinai, to admit to yourself that you DON'T have all the answers - in fact, by believing what Christianity as 'taught' you, you don't have ANY answers!

@Abraham Mani, the God of Israel, is not Jesus. There is plenty of backing in the Bible to prove it. As it says in Isaiah 11-3, "He will be imbued with a spirit of fear for Hashem." Please explain to me how can God can fear himself? Furthermore, why does Ezekiel 40 and 43 discuss building a third temple when Jesus was supposedly the ultimate sacrifice? And finally, when Jesus was born, there was no, as I said before, rebuilding of the temple, no restriction of the dead, no ingathering of the exiles, and no universal knowledge of the Lord. I rest my case.

I don't understand why when the Jews hear the name of JESUS CHRIST, their pants and skirts automatically wet. Ofcourse the Jews have brought upon themselves the curse by saying, let HIS blood be upon us and our children. To this day the curse continues. However, no matter what explanation any rabbi gives, he trembles in his pants, those dead in their graves until The LORD JESUS CHRIST returns to judge the living and the dead. Until then, my dear Jewish brothers and sisters keep singing and dancing to cover your wetness with the sweat.

I heard all your blasphemies that you said concerning the mountains of Israel, saying, "They have become desolate; they were given to us to devour." 13You have magnified yourselves against Me with your mouth, and you have multiplied your words against Me; I have heard. 14So said the Lord God: When the whole earth rejoices, I shall make you desolate. 15As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it became desolate, so will I do to you; Mount Seir and all Edom will be desolate, even all of it, and they will know that I am the Lord.

@@logans.butler285 that is called the bandwagon fallacy: “if more people believe it, then it must be true”. Using that line of thinking, then Islam’s chances of being true are far higher, as it’s the fastest growing religion in the world. Also, Andrew Klavan may be smart, but he’s mot very knowledgeable about religion. When talking with Ben Shapiro in one video, Klavan was surprised to learn that Orthodox Jews believed the Bible was the Word of G-d. Klavan was born to a secular Jewish family and became a Christian later in life, so it’s not as though he was some scholar who converted. Moreover, many Christian scholars nowadays ARE converting to Judaism: pastors, ministers, and more. Check out Kiruv Media’s KZfaq page for video testimonies of learned Christians accepting that G-d of Israel. Lastly, keep these words in mind if you should ever wonder if majority confers truth upon a group: “The L-rd did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples” (Deut. 7:7)

Do you even know what Septuagint is ? The fact that the Bible is the worlds best seller, proves that it is Gods true inspired word, for if it wasn’t, then God would not have allowed millions around the globe to be deceived by the One who came in His name. You see that right? The One who stands out above all others, above all names, is glorified universally. And you think we got it wrong through forgeries ? What kind of God do you believe in that would allow that to happen. Let me remind you they all died a cruel death for Jesus Christ, but what have you done for God? Do you go to the ends of the earth preaching in His name ? Have you sacrificed your safety to expose your views on God to the world? Are you willing to die a cruel death preaching the good news of God, which is the gospels, which is that God forgives us of sin through belief in His Son? I already know your answer is no, cause your probably safe at home, typing away on your phone. You probably think “it’s their problem not mine,” you probably think gentiles are some of the worst people. So it’s trivial to me that people like yourself can deny the work of the Apostles and the ones Gods selected. Deny its authenticity. How you can look at their deaths and say “meh, they should’ve known better.” When it’s people like you who should have known better. Therefore when you seek God but don’t acknowledge His Son, so will He turn to you and say “Flee from me I never knew you.”

Most of the inspiration I get from the books those are mainly in the 'New Testament'. There are some good writings there that actually give me something to consider spiritually. It's hard to believe for me all the miracles and healing that I've read about Jesus but many of his words have powerful meanings, but there must be some truth to the most influential human in history. The problem is, The first part of the messianic prophecy came true, but the part about the temples and them getting power is what they had wanted. Christians believe there is a time gap between Jesus first coming and Jesus second coming. And he’ll do that when he comes back. The Jews think the prophecy was supposed to take place all at the same time. And if if didn’t happen on their time table, they think it can’t be Jesus. It’s someone else.

Am I ready to embrace this New Testament, which spouts hatred and lies against the Jewish people and, therefore, against me as a Jewish person, and accept it as part of my Bible? My father, a Sephardic North African descendant product arranged marriage of a Patrilineal Sephardic Kohen and matrilineal Ashkenazim Levite (2 actually - 2 brothers and 2 sisters) told me the stories and my loving daughter confirmed with raw DNA They came here to US as "Sicilians” at the time of the fall of the Ottoman Empire. I say all that to say I am now learning and it is so amazing, overwhelming and beautiful. My Pop had wisdom. He was a self educated man and was quite literate and had the wisdom of Methuselah at 200, so to speak. Old enough to be my grandfather. Thank you so so much, Rabbi so so much. How can any Christian possibly reject Judaism? it is quite literally the root of the Abrahamic faiths from which Christianity and Islam stem from. I think the other Abrahamic faiths will come together as Christians and Muslims recognize the truth. At least I see that as a potential pathway that would be a massive step forward.

The question of many Jews to reject Jesus is somehow complicated, because it was also prophesied in many verses in OT. The reason why, God Himself knows. To mention few Psalms 118:22,23 Stone rejected by builders, Isaiah 49:7 This says the Lord, To Him whom man despises, To Him whom the nation abhors (read Isaiah 49:1->7) Isaiah 53:1whom has believed our report, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? ver.3 He was despised and rejected......, ver.10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him; He has put Him to grief, when you make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, ......., And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper for in His hand. In John 1:11 He came to His own, but His own did not receive Him. In Roman 9:1->5 Apostle Paul griefs on the people of his nation. Also Roman 11:25->29. So time is coming, all Israels will later accept Jesus. Zechariah 12:10 ... ; then they look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son,..... .

Behold, days are coming, says the Lord, and I will form a covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, a new covenant (Jeremiah 31:30). Ibn Nachmiash explains that the Torah must always seem new and fresh. The only reason it may seem old and boring is that the evil inclination makes it seem so. In the future, however, when the evil inclination will be destroyed, it will indeed always be a “new Torah”.

@@jevonjulien2620 According to Rabbi Yitz on the Ask Noah Forum, the Satan is the tempter, and he works through a person's evil inclination. This angel's job is to test us to see if we will remain faithful to God. The author of the Tanya writes that the Satan and the evil inclination (the yetzer harah) believe in God and are loyal to God, but they have the job to tempt us away from the proper path. It is our job to use our willpower to resist these temptations, or to sincerely repent if we err. The Satan is given the tools to do his job, which include finding the weaknesses of each person through his or her unique evil inclination. If we go off the path as a result of the "yetzer hara" then we are on a lower level than it is. If we overcome the "yetzer hara" then we rise to higher level. The evil inclination is rooted in a person's power of imagination. The person imagines how good it will be if he gives in to his temptation. The Jewish confessional prayer on Yom Kippur contains this confession: "For the sin which we committed before You with the evil inclination." This refers to a person who deliberately arouses within himself a desire for a sin which the Satan was not assigned to tempt the person with.

One of the problems with Christianity is that most Christian Sunday sermons are either solely about the New Testament or are Joel Osteen style sermons that have very little to do with either the New or Old Testament. Most of Joel Osteen’s sermons resemble improved motivational speaker Tony Robbins type lectures on how to be successful in life. Deuteronomy 4:2 basically says not to substitute other Joel Osteen type material for the Old Testament that supports Christianity’s adulterous, idolatrous worship of idols, money & financial success. The reason the Old Testament is so important is that the Old Testament is more or less a history book of the human race. And if you don’t learn from history, you are doomed to repeat the same mistakes you have made in the past. The main problem with the New Testament is that in terms of a history book, it only goes back to the time of JC. The New Testament just doesn’t cover a very long time period. The Old Testament goes back to creation of the universe and covers a much larger time frame. ---

Is Judaism based on the Bible? The present Talmud-based Judaism is a joke. It is not based on the Bible. When last did the Jews sacrifice a lamb for the remission of sins? No living man amongst those claiming to be Jews today, can claim that. That is enough to see that Judaism is a foreign religion the desperate rabbis came up with after Titus destroyed the last temple in 70AD.

@wesley8173 It's not Torah Law that needs to be spread amongst the gentiles. Torah Law is incumbent ONLY on Jews, like American Law is incumbent only on Americans. American Legal System doesn't expect other countries to follow American Law, but DOES expect other countries to operate on the basis of fundamental standards of justice and civility. Torah Law observance by JEWS is a vehicle intended to INSPIRE the gentiles to adopt fundamental humanitarian moral principles, and not to inspire the gentiles to become Jews. The problem with Christianity isn't that it is not following Jewish Law, but that it CLAIMS to be the New Judaism, a REPLACEMENT ideology focused on Jews in a NEGATIVE WAY, and invested through its own command, to sabotage Torah Law, and the ability of Jews to be loyal to their own Laws and their own Legal System. "New Testament"? Judaism has no problem with other religions and is not a supremacist ideology in thinking it is the ONLY Valid WAY to worship G-d. Judaism does not grantee more benefits to Jews than to Gentiles in any realm of existence. Christianity is a supremacist replacement ideology that degrades the humanity of Jews in the minds of millions of gentiles resulting in 2000 years of persecution culminating in a brutal genocide.

As an X-Christian I have to agree with Rabbi Tovia: The New Testament is in opposition to the Torah and that most definitely includes Jesus opposing the Torah. So with Jesus being a Jew he shouldn’t be opposing the Torah at all but yet he does. Yes it’s very true that Christians don’t know the Jewish Hebrew Bible when it comes to the Old Testament. The Torah no doubt has to be the most accurate biblical writings….the Torah is the first scriptures ever written that were not tampered with by the Jew’s because the Torah is their OWN and they would NEVER DARE tamper with what HaShem has spoken…they had no reason at all to tamper with their OWN scriptures, but the early Christian church had many reasons to corrupt the Torah in order to fit it to their own agenda and had no problem doing it. They didn’t care that they were corrupting and rewriting Torah scriptures.

Hosea 11 speaks of Israel being called out of Egypt while they were still young in their relationship as children of G-D. The rest of the chapter goes on to talk about how Israel consistently goes astray of G-D regardless of how much they are called to follow. It also speaks of G-D's love, kindness, patience, and tenderness with Israel and how they didn't even realize that it was G-D who healed them throw all their transgressions. Jesus was called out of Egypt as a child. As G-D in the flesh, He showed all the qualities of G-D's love and care. He feed the hungry, cared for children, and healed the crippled (among many other miracles) and the Jews still didn't know who He was. He also called His people to follow Him and they did.
