In today's video, I will be doing a detailed flip through of Christian Light Education's Reading 4 program! This program is a one semester course and has 80 lessons in five easy to use Light units. Reading 4 is geared toward 4th grade students. If you have any questions, please let me know!

My name is Jerilyn and welcome to OUR HOMESCHOOL TABLE! I am a mom of three kids! My oldest is nine and in fourth grade, my middle is almost three and my youngest is eight months old! I taught Kindergarten for six years before I began staying home. This is my fifth year homeschooling and love sharing about all things homeschool!

We love CLE reading. I am using grade 1 Learning to Read and have Reading 1 when she finishes. By 2nd grader is finishing grade 2 reading. My 5th and 6th graders are using it too. I love that the 6th grade level includes etymology. In addition we use their language arts and math.

I am really thinking about getting Math for this coming year. 🤔 We’ll see if I can find it at our used curriculum exchange. 😊 If not, I might purchase a few light units to try!

@@jerilyn-ourhomeschooltable my 11 year old told me the other day that she still hates math, but she loves CLE math. The constant review and small increments of new teaching each day fits her so well. She started the year not knowing her multiplication facts and using their flash card system flies through them now. Her bother who is great at math has gotten even better. I have tried a lot of different math curriculums and I finally found what works and won’t be changing.

Here I am now watching all the CLE reading curriculum videos trying to decide if I should add it in for my girls or not for next year 😂 I’ve watched this before but that was before I started thinking of using it haha Were you happy with it?

We loved it! I would totally use Reading 5 next year if my daughter didn’t already have so much reading to do with our other stuff. We actually still might figure out how to squeeze it in somewhere. 😃 Highly recommend

Thank you so much! We love CLE, it is very wholesome and enjoyable for my daughter! We are looking at using their Math for next year along with Math U See that we already use. Nice to meet you! I will check out your channel! ❤️ I always enjoy homeschooling channels.

So a question. How do you schedule it? A lesson a day?

We did 4 lessons a week for 20 weeks. We don’t do much school on Friday’s. 😃 At Grade 4 and up its a semester course, not a full year. ❤️

I don’t unfortunately. We have only used Reading so far.
