I knew someone that wired all their ornaments to their tree and put a big plastic bag over it and pulled it out every year so they didn't have to decorate it. He was a senior and I thought that was a brilliant idea!

You are so right about dark floors. I have them in my bedroom and hate them. They make you a slave in trying to keep them clean. I think its really sweet that you want to make sure Christmas is happening in the new house even though you guys have a million things to do.

I love the new house and the decorating. We moved last year into our home on the 20th of December. I literally just tossed the tree up and called it a day. Then all my in laws came down for the day on the day after Christmas. However, my sister in law took my 2 teenagers back home with her for a week so I got to unpack and they got to have fun. It will all be worth it when you can sit back and enjoy it.

I think your TV Stand/Dresser looks wonderful, good job Ashley. Like the little marks in the mantle wood it looks so rustic. Good thinking on the big flowers, it looks great that is the style now any way with picks. I bought the same tree for my granddaughter due to she is in to pink thinking her mother can change the different color when she changes her mind. It's the little dirt on the floor that got me. I was watching holding my breath cause I knew too would get it up before moving forward. 😂 Wrapping the tree for next year is such a great idea!!! Your tree still looks beautiful. I took your advice and purchased a pack of big bulbs from Michael's and my tree decorations have never looked so beautiful and put together. I too used large white poinsettia flowers to fill in the spaces. All of your decor is so beautiful🎄💖, and I too purchased that little white truck👍 from Target - it was such a great find. Worth the wait? Absolutely!! Mind blowing how fast you're settling in! That tree is no worse for the wear :) And oh my goodness Savy's tree is breath-taking.
