You've given me confidence in using mobility devices. I got my walker today, which is long overdue and I've put myself in harm's way and isolated myself on days that I need mobility aids because I was embarrassed to be using aids that are stereotypically for order people. I'm 18 and it's really knocked my confidence, watching your videos gave me the confidence to finally get one, and hold my head high when I use it. You're so beautiful and so brave and confident and to be half as strong as you would be incredible. Thank you, you've done more for me than I could ever say.

I used music and familiar movies a lot during the worst of my TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) recovery. I still use that hack to this day if I have an off day, brain fog wise. Like you say it helps with concentration and for me it also gives me some sense of time, which I don't really have because of my dyscalculia. My anaphylactic reactions give me a serious case of EpiBrain and I honestly feel like I'm right back in those early years of neurological rehabilitation and massive brain fog. So glad you are alright from the allergic reaction

Have you tried Tigan (trimethobenzamide) for nausea? Trimethobenzamide (trade names Tebamide, Tigan) is an antiemetic used to prevent nausea and vomiting. It is often prescribed for patients with gastroenteritis, medication-induced nausea, and other illnesses. Trimethobenzamide is generally considered the most potent antiemetic that does not have effects on the serotonergic, dopaminergic, or histaminergic systems, so it has a lower likelihood of causing undesired side effects.

Hi Jaquie, So sorry. I researched this and it can be given IM or orally but maybe not IV. It helps me orally but of course we are all so different and if you have issues absorbing oral meds perhaps this wont help. Oh well :-(

I have idiopathic hypersomnolence, but I may have narcolepsy. (My test results aren't totally reliable because the antidepressant I take is a REM suppressant.) I relate SO MUCH to your bad-narcolepsy-day feelings. Even just today I crashed two hours after getting up in the morning. I felt so brain foggy. I couldn't see straight, walk straight, think straight, or talk straight. I took a two hour nap and still woke up feeling extremely exhausted/drowsy. I had a good schedule at college that minimized my excessive daytime sleepiness, but now the semester is over and I'm home. The daily brain fog is terrible.

I have to try one more medication first before we appeal for Zofran. Also it could have been the IVIG and the Phenerga, or I did not react to phenergan last time, so hard to tell with Mast Cell and all my allergy issues! But at least now I know NOT to take phenergan anymore!

Oh the foggy autopiloting... I once found my bread in my closet, put pears in my microwave (and forgot about them so I ended up having to throw away the microwave. Because fruit flies, decomposing pears and summer... Definitely something I do not want to deal with again) as well as many other weird things. My boyfriend works from home so he usually sees when I do something weird but before we moved in together it was really funny to find things at random places. These days it's only an issue when I misplace things and can't remember & he happened to not be around.

I'm sorry you had a rough day! What I love though is how you laugh when your narcolepsy/brain fog makes you do odd things. I have brain fog too and regularly find myself saying things that don't make sense (well, others point it out to me :P), or find items in unusual spots. Honestly laughing about it makes me feel better about it :) Our symptoms are annoying enough, when we can laugh about them it helps us stay positive :)

I have Fibromyalgia (brain fog, forgetfulness), ADHD predominately inattentive type & mild dementia. I had to quit cooking 2 yr ago because of me almost burning the house down 3 different times. I now live off soup (microwavable) & sandwiches. And for hubby I buy him microwavable meals. Or we order takeout. But that gets old in a hurry. Not to mention, expensive. At least you know where to look when u lose something...just look in the microwave, LOL. Me...when I lose something...it's gone. 20 yr ago I lost the pitcher part of a blender (we even moved & never found it!), a set of keys to my car (that cost $120 for the lock smith to fix), the crock to a counter top smoker, a brand new pair of $156 New Balance walking shoes (never even got to wear them!) and just last month, I lost the paper prescription to refill this months Adderall. Me, hubby & my youngest step daughter (36 y/o) tore this house up looking for it and never did find it. So now Dr is going to mail it to me every month (because I lost last months too! but I found it, eventually.)

I had the exact same problem with phenergan!!! I had commented on your post when you had your reaction with the IVIG suggesting it could have been the phenergan because the exact same thing happened to me. I was on phenergan for over a year, taking it orally at home no problems at all and getting the IV form during infusions once a week, and all of a sudden I started having an allergic reaction to it. It started small, but the next time I got it it turned into anaphylaxis and I had the same issues with my throat spasming!! So you must have developed an allergy to it as well!! I hope that's good news though that it was probably that and not your IVIG!! Just glad you're okay and no hospital trips!

That's so weird about the phenergan! I take oral phenergan for severe nausea and it works for me and doesn't even make me that drowsy anymore. Also phenergan is a type of anti-histamine like Benadryl so should help in stopping allergic reactions not causing them. I do know that there have been a lot of issues with IV phenergan use because if it is not diluted enough or pushed too fast it can cause major issues. You can probably google it to find out more. Or not if you don't want to get freaked out! Hope you are feeling better today 👍🏻😊

Thank you for answering. Havn't gotten around to watch all the new videos yet. Oh, and I have forgotten to introduse myself, my name is Alexx (short for Alexandra), I'm 26 years old and from Norway. Nice to "meet" you :)

Are blueberries (especially fresh) as expensive in the states as they are here in Australia? If yes, those are some exy dog treats. 😂

Hey Jaquie I know it might sound silly but do you think that medical marijuana or THC oil might help with your lack of appetite? I don't know if it would actually help you digest food better but at least you would be hungry. Also thanks for sharing your everyday life with us and I hope you're feeling better today

I personally do not think MMJ is for me, I never tried it and do not think I will. Unless my doctor says I need it, I do not have to smoke it, it won't get me high and its legal, I would not try it. But it helps others and I am happy about that! Not judging those who do use it.

Chronically Jaquie CBD oil is the medical component of marijuana without the THC that gets you high! I'm not sure of all of the uses of it but I believe it is used for pain as well as nausea. If your doctor does ever mention using cannabis as a medication, I'd definitely ask about that
