Dick Cavett has been nominated for eleven Emmy awards (the most recent in 2012 for the HBO special, Mel Brooks and Dick Cavett Together Again), and won three. Spanning five decades, Dick Cavett’s television career has defined excellence in the interview format. He started at ABC in 1968, and also enjoyed success on PBS, USA, and CNBC.

His most recent television successes were the September 2014 PBS special, Dick Cavett’s Watergate, followed April 2015 by Dick Cavett’s Vietnam. He has appeared in movies, tv specials, tv commercials, and several Broadway plays. He starred in an off-Broadway production ofHellman v. McCarthy in 2014 and reprised the role at Theatre 40 in LA February 2015.

Cavett has published four books beginning with Cavett (1974) and Eye on Cavett (1983), co-authored with Christopher Porterfield. His two recent books -- Talk Show: Confrontations, Pointed Commentary, and Off-Screen Secrets (2010) and Brief Encounters: Conversations, Magic moments, and Assorted Hijinks(October 2014) are both collections of his online opinion column, written for The New York Times since 2007. Additionally, he has written for The New Yorker, TV Guide, Vanity Fair, and elsewhere.

@@EazyE11 Leno was the worst of all the major talk show hosts. Carson wanted Letterman to take over, Fallon has returned the variety edge that The Tonight Show had under Carson where the host wasn't afraid to do physical skits, comedy etc. Leno was a great stand-up comedian but as a talk show host he took himself too serious and played it safe. The clue to Fallon is the same as Carson, let them be themselves. They've tried to make Fallon's show more political to compete with the likes of Colbert and Kimmel, which is the wrong way to go. Carson was never political and neither should they force Fallon to be.

His dad died under myserious circumstances and I heard they were somehow tangled with an Asian mob. I don't know if any of it is true but it does send up red flags, and it would be easy enough to switch in a real, loaded gun into an action movie.

Interesting how Chuck says that he'd heard both ways were disproven. All the (admittedly limited) research I've done into Lee's death points to a dummy round being stuck in the barrel and shot out by the blank cartridge discharging.

Instead buying professionally made dummy bullets so they can show the actor loading the gun with real looking unspent ammo and pointing it an pretend like he firing it , Some goof on the movie set just removed the bullet slug from the shell and drain out the gun powder and stuck the slug back in the shell. , He did not fire the percussion cap when the slug was out of the shell , and the blast in side the shell from the percussion cap put out enough force to fire the slug in to Brandon bowels , he started bleeding badly in side and thy could not get him open in time to saw him up, he bleed out and when in to shock and die on the sugary table :( The actor who shot the gun at him was surprise it really fired :(

Steven Seagal knows what and how the accident happened. Steven has said he was asked to investigate the case of Brandon Lee's death (yes, I don't understand why he was asked to investigate the case? Maybe because he's a CIA agent ) But nevertheless, he resolved it.

I agree with Mr. Norris about the foul play. Esp if police tested the “theory” and it couldn’t work. There were a couple disgruntled people on that set, so who knows.

Brandon Lee almost got killed on the set of Rapid Fire, he even said it himself, "I spent a lot of time possibly getting killed in this movie" On the set of the Crow most of the filming crew were so crazy. For example, they were working 18 hours a day. 90-100 hours per week. The only superhero's on that North Carolina movie set was Medic Clyde D. Baisey, Ernie Hudson, and Brandon Bruce Lee.

i hate these kind of stories that have the phrase "Well, you could have easily lost a, or easily died" ... I got in my car today and took a drive, i came to an intersection, and could easily have died ! I sure am glad i stopped at the sign ! that was a close one ! ... oh yeah, my life is full of danger and i am such a hero !

First of all, who's, " they " ? . It was an accident. And second, Lee's bloodline wasn't brought to an end. He had a daughter, Shannon who has a child, Bruce Lee's grandchild. The bloodline continues.
