I never thought the Great Bay Temple to be that hard. Its pretty straight-forward in my opinion. Personally I think Stone Tower Temple was harder.

even though you claimed, that the boss is quite easy, I found that to be the hardest boss in all the zelda games I have played, seriously. I remember being at this as a kid for months and couldn't beat it, which is why I never finished majoras mask.

"Gyorg is a pretty simple boss when it comes down to it." Having recently played the 3DS version, I think this sentence is both true and false at the same time, given how they expanded it in the remake. Though Gyorg now has an eyeball weak point like the other bosses I've faced (so far), his fight took a bit longer in my experience due to the new second phase of the fight and my relative inexperience to that phase until replay. Oh, also, I forgot it had a mask in the remake!

First time I fought that boss,I had 5 heart containers....FIVE It took me literally over 50 tries to beat it >:(

I'm currently watching this LP whilst I'm playing Majora's Mask on 3DS, and I'm only up to this point in the LP but dither ahead in my game play, so even without watching Chugga do this dungeon I managed to get through the temple just fine and even go back again to collect the stray fairies! It's not as bad as people make it out to be! And it's definitely not as bad as the Water Temple in OoT... Great LP Chugga, still love your older stuff.

I found that using the Zora form's boomerangs was easier to hit Gyorg with than arrows. You had to let go of them right when he started to charge or they wouldn't reach, but then you did none of this changing back and forth and didn't need arrows.

I'm such a damn nerd, but the idea of the temperature being capable of having standing ice and flowing water is possible! Running water tends to not freeze because it has more energy, so it takes a lower temperature to freeze moving water. Standing ice that was already there/frozen before would stick around, since the water isn't moving anymore! Think of how water on the top of lakes freezes, but the water below the ice is still liquid.

My favorite Zelda game is Skyward Sword. But i hate the boss you had to beat so many times over and over again.

*When I was a child I had a disk on the Gamecube with BOTH Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.... and a few other games on it too.* *When I played Majora's Mask and got to the Great Bay Temple, it was surprisingly VERY easy for me, the only part I somewhat struggled with was the boss fight. I have NO idea why people have such a hard time with this temple...*

I absolutely love how you consider him Mikau instead of just "Zora Link" ( because if you think about it it's really just Link living through Mikau ). Mikau is one of my favorite characters in the Zelda serie and I love how you give him more consideration and credits than other people. And that thing you said at 7:15, I don't know it was just very cute, I don't care if people say you don't have much personnality and are too formal in your LPs, you're one of my favorites, keep up the good work :)

First time I played this temple I din't realize you could freeze the flow of water in the room with the turning platforms. So I did it all, getting the stray fairy in the upper chest included, while the whole thing kept turning. Talk about difficult. That freaking room took me as much time as the whole damn temple, I can tell you. On the good side I unintentionally proved it can be done lol.

As in the starting scene of the boss fight was similar to the starting scene of the boss fight in the Shadow Temple, where you jump down and land on the platform, and the underwater scene was similar to the underwater scene in the boss fight in the Water Temple in OoT.

Chugga, I believe that, and I should have told you three years ago about this, but that "complete waste of time" area you went to, was actually suppose to help you platform across that flywheel, while at same time help you correct your timing to get the flywheel to be perfectly horizontal. Then again, someone probably already told you about this.

Your LPs are great and I'm loving the MM one, it's one of my favorite games and I've been learning new things about it I've never known. But I just have to say-nothing you've been calling a flywheel is a flywheel in this temple...the valves that control the water, the axels that turn the waterwheels...flywheels are completely different.

It's funny that Chugga comment's on Gyorg's lack of a mask considering his redesign in the remake. It's like nintendo is watching...

With your mask, I think it goes along with the mask you are wearing. When it was put on, it turned the person into Gyorg, like how your zora mask turns you into a zora.

The boss masks work the same way that the form masks work for Link. Skullkid cursed the spirt using an evil spirt that was traped in a mask. By defeating the mask, you remove it from the spirt Skullkid cursed.

Gyorg (alongside all the other bosses) wear masks like the Deku, Goron, or Zora mask. They alter your shape, explaining why Gyorg shrinks at the end.

I always found Gyorg to be arguably the hardest boss out of the major 5 zelda games IMO. This guy was a PAIN IN THE ASS for me.

I wonder why you didn't use the Great Bay Temple theme for any of these episodes. I can't remember if ZREO had one or not, but it is a good dungeon theme that perfectly suits where it plays.

I think you should show how you can get to Great Bay Temple with the Ice Arrows. Definitely get some Chateau Romani if you do, though.

it's not that the masks was on bosses at each temple. when they die, their spirits turns into a mask like Darmani and Mikau did after healing their souls. But in this case,its defeating the bosses. I'm just now getting this after watching this let's play for a very, very, very, very, very long time.

If you look at some of the concept art, you can see that the body texture changes from scales to more of a solid plated look as you go from body to head. That would make sense, considering he would need a sturdy face to be able to knock you off the platform. I would assume that the plates are really his mask.

I'm guessing that how small he turned when he died suggests that he was just a normal fish who had the mask on, resulting in him turning into the huge Gyorg, therefore having the same complexion throughout his body. Just like how Link changes completely when he has the deku, goron, and zora masks on.

One of the things I love about this game is that the bosses have no pattern or obvious weak points. All other Zelda bosses have a set pattern, or their weak spot is really obvious *CoughCough* Queen Gohmas Eye *Cough Cough*

I really like how much Gyorg's fight was changed in MM3D. It's a lot more fun and less cheap. Especially the second phase.

When the Nintendo 3DS version of The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask comes out they are probably gonna add a feature that allows you to not only create your own mask but have it do special stuff too.

@Phr3nos If you're referring to the whole "in search of a dear friend" quest as mentioned at the beginning of the game, the friend in question is Saria, not Navi. Saria was separated from Link due to her duties as the Forest Sage and her role in aiding Link in sealing Ganon away and protecting the Sacred Realm. Navi was never separated from Link; he kind of just parted ways with her by his own will (and I don't blame him).
