The line. "We are fine. We shall greet the morning... together" Is one of the saddest lines when you know that the world is about to end.

I always cry at the end of this side-quest. Even though they're together, willing to die side by side, you have to turn back time and it all goes back to them being apart again. Even when they get a tragically happy ending, that still gets taken away from them. They don't get to greet the morning together, they simply get reset to their grief. They're truly heartbreaking.

For anyone who doesn't know there is a similar scene to Kafei's and Anju's between Cremia and Romani at about 8:00 PM on the final day. It's basically a scene where Cremia lets Romani have a chateau for the first time and has Romani sleep with her because Cremia knows about the impending doom while Romani has no idea. Cremia just wants to make Romani's last moments as memorable as they could possibly be before the end.

Neither rain or shine,sleek or hail, or even the coming of the moon from hell can keep the Noble postman from his duty, even at the worlds end he still has the schedule to do and will deliver any package, any parchment and any parcel no matter what the cost! Truly....a real american hero....

I don't know why but then end of the video made me so depressed. I think it was the music and how you feel at the end of the world and how people would die and then when Link played the song of time they would all forget everything about him. He lost friends and reputation

This episode was kinda a tearjerker for me. Screw Titanic! THIS is the best story of two doomed lovers! And the best part: I CAN WATCH IT AGAIN WITHOUT FEELING LIKE CRAP!!! YAAAAAY!!!

Best sidequest or maybe even quest in all of video gaming

Something I noticed while playing the game is that if you read the letter that the postman sent to himself, it literally begs himself to disregard the schedule and flee the town. I found that to be so sad, really. This whole side quest is just so touching and beautiful. I cry every time a little bit at the line "We'll wait for the sunrise... together."

This made me wonder whether the song of time resets everyone, or sends link to another timeline, leaving his previous timeline to inevitably die. If that was the case, every time you play the song of time, they continue on without a hero to stop the moon, resulting in that timeline quickly ending.

That was the most depressing episode ever...

Rewatching this, I suddenly want Chuggaaconroy to do a Fallout: New Vegas let's play, just for the sake of the endless "Superhero of the American people" jokes in that game. Of course it'll never happen, it is FAR too outside of Chuggaa's area of play, but I still smile at it.

The design of Kafei's pendant matches the paintjob on the door of the Stock Pot Inn

Beautiful way to end the episode. That scene is probably my favorite throughout the entire game. It just has a special meaning to me, and I'm not ashamed to say that it still got me a little teary-eyed, years later. Thank you, Emile.

Has anyone tried this sidequest and at the time you're waiting for Sakon to arrive... can he see you if you use the stone mask? If he can't see you then why not use that?

Usually don't post on these, but Chugga you are amazingly dedicated to us fans for doing the quest to show the alternate scenes of what could happen. This sidequest is very touching on all levels and shows the power of true love. To see what happens when that love is stopped is heartbreaking. Props to you always being awesome Chugga :-)

I think the post man putting his hat on behind the curtain is a Superman reference, like how Clark Kent goes into a phone booth to change into his Superman costume.

When I played this game as a child, I never really thought about it much, but the scene where Anju and Kafei exchange the masks is so beautiful and touching. And then when they said that they would greet the morning together, I just started crying. ;__; Totally worth giving up the run button for XDD

Ahh chugga, you always know when is the right time not to talk, and I don't mean that rudely. Any great lper knows that there are times to talk, but there are also times where not talking is more appropriate, and you know both of these, that's just another great quality as an lper that you have, and I greatly appreciate you for it, thank you :)

Man, Majora's Mask has an awesome story with awesome characters. :( Powerful...

I love how Chugga knows just the right moments to stay silent and let the game play on its own. It makes the game more intimate in a way.

I think this is the best sidequest in not just any Zelda game, but in any video game *ever.* Getting these two lost lovers to reunite with each other - allowing Kafei to fulfill a lifelong promise he had made to Anju. And that last line _"We shall greet the morning... together."_ They know that they're going to die. They won't be able to live a happy life together. And yet, they're willing to meet their doom side by side. It's very wholesome.

Manly tears are a prerequisite for that final scene, and even more so for the alternate endings

"Chuggaa you realize by playing the Song of time you are now creating two seperate realities?" "Of course I am."

I watched the alternate scenes and it hurt so bad that I had to rewatch the end of this episode again.

I think the silence during their moment was appropriate. The best of LPers know the proper time to just let the game and it's moments speak for themselves. You've won me over completely with this Chugga, that was a touching moment for a game like this.

That ending for the Kafei and Anju sidequest is one of the most amazing things I've seen in a video game. I wish more Zelda games had touching moments like that. Majora's Mask will always be my favourite video game.

These people are just pixels in a game...but this quest just hits me hard. JESUS CHRIST it just pulls on my heart strings! I always do this quest and defeat the 4 bosses before confronting Majora. When I climb those stairs, I know this conflict isn't just between Majora and I; it's a fight for a better tomorrow. I give hope to these people and make them believe once more. That single solitary moment meant so much more to me and I'll never forget it. That to me is why is this game will always be my favorite Zelda game. No other game in the series has COME CLOSE to this feeling. I will fight not for myself, but for everyone. These people mean so much to me.

I'm going to be so sad when this series is over. This has been my favourite Chugga LP, and it was during and... interesting time of my life.

The ending to this video is a great example of what makes the atmosphere of this game so darn good. After all that you had been through to bring Anju and Kafei back together, you pulled out the Ocarina and without saying a word, you played the song of time and erased everything.

The ending of the video, with the two couples, it was so sweet. Kinda made me feel... bittersweet. Like, knowing that when one resets time, they're separate, and you wouldn't be able to get them together once again...

Never before have I cried while playing a video game or watching a video game being played, but 17:30 was just impeccably beautiful. The alternate scene that plays if you fail in Sakon's hideout is also worth crying manly tears over.

I first played it on PC, sadly the PC that I lost 2 years ago. But I saw it on WiiWare and I just couldn't resist!!

I loved this scene. Although you might have wanted to talk to the madam after giving her the letter but oh well, that is just my memory. It had been a long time since I played this scene, around 8 years I think, and I still have teary eye moments. Hope your next video gets around to getting all those remaining masks as well as getting all those remaining heart pieces. Also....YOU GOT PIKACHU'S FACE!!!!! Now you can spin around those grass to have that 9 tailed fox to show up.
