I think the woman made up the story for two reasons. One was to portray her husband and his family in a negative light so the other woman would stop flirting with him and would back off. The second reason was to straighten out the current help. She knows he's a disrespectful slob who was probably eavesdropping on her conversation so by saying the previous help was killed and buried 6 feet under, she was hoping to strike some fear in him. The woman is from a small village and when she got married and moved to the big city, she noticed how people were mistaking her kindness for weakness and taking advantage of that. The purpose of her story was to remind them that she's not to be messed with

The first few lines of the film says," she is such a liar. She is good at making stories". You guys missed it.

The last shot in the movie shows how close the houses are to each other and so it wouldn't be possible for them to have killed and buried someone with no one listening which means it was a all a made up story

the story tells a lot , she is not just scaring the girl but also the current servent , in the beginning the women is shown as shy, sofisticated but with her story she hinted her to not take her for granted because she is from gaziyabda (which not as civil as other cities nearby ,but also had a very voilent mafia and dirty politics background ) remember how casually she checked if the servent is dead or not and just told the family to dig cus she was used to such kind of things .

Even though she made up the story, just to tell her that everything her husband loves or comes close to him, dies. Moreover Bhola before died in the end, killed and cooked his wife for owner's guests. That's why you didn't see her in the end.

The thing is this story is all about story telling. .creating curiosity. .suspense.. fear.. all the things she told her might not be true.. as they told in the beginning that this woman is really good at story telling and most of her stories aren't even true. . If the story was true the women killed the dog..who was liked by her husband, munna(the old servant)was killed who was close to her husband. ..she trapped her brother in law who rejected her ..so she clearly gave the impression that whoever comes too close to her husband gets killed. ."ye bhi pyar ke chakkr me pad gya tha".. so she told her k whoever messes with her she has the ability to create situations which will lead to the person 's death. Servant munna's wife was killed by munna himself and served to the guest that night..and she liked it because her brother in law chose that girl over her.. and she is threatening 2 persons here : the girl and the servant. .the servant will never repeat what he did in the beginning of the movie. .he got really really scared. .😂😂 knowing k a person like him( the other servant)was killed and buried right in that hoise and this women is comfortably serving the chutney made from herbs grown from the very same ground where munna was buried... .woman is really clever. She knows bhola(the servant) will definitely listen their conversation😀.. and now thsi girl is never ever coming close to her husband. And her husband wouldn't even know the reason. .😎

If you watch it again you will realize the ladies talking in the club saying that this lady says a lot of tall tales. So when she saw her husband getting attracted to a younger woman she gave her a fright by sharing this story. It was a fake story cause one in an area where houses are so close together you cannot just kill and bury someone. Two where is the servants wife and three would you be sharing such an incident with a casual acquaintance. It was her way of putting this lady and the servant boy at the same time in their place.

The fact which substantiates that it was a story is the first woman in the opening says "she is a liar" but the actual meaning of what she says in Hindi is "she cooks up a lot of stories" and may be you missed that point because of the wrong translation. But yes, only the director can tell you what they intended here. Maybe the story was indeed right and killed off the servant.

This is a mental game she is playing with that lady. And no body remains are remaining there. Am an Indian who has watched the women of the Indian society who deals with all type of typical social stigma. Many people miss minute points in day to day life. Women are emotional but silent. And the silence has not silenced the women from expressing. Nor has succeeded in chaining those women who are determined. She is one such lady. Here is by perspective based on what i could look through this short story. Its short but deep. The wife is from Gaziabad, so she is supposed to be innocent and the ear ring girl is fashionable and beauty conscious who is expert in flirting and trapping men. ( Typically supposed to be smart witty pretty and charming which men like in women). But the other women says that she has a very good talent of telling made up stories. --> Now we dont know if she tells a made up stories or masquerades the real stories to look like a made up story. Because every story need a base content thats strong, stays in mind to not leave blank spots. And also that she tells a story in such a way that it has a sub text with an under tone to it which can be understood by those who can read her mind and intentions at the very moment or else the meaning will be missed as its the sentence that leaves the clue. She deliberately goes to the flirting lady and invites her to the home telling her that you wanted to come to my home right? Come. ( undertone - you wanted to come into our personal space right? Come if you dare to. I will see through it.) When she comes home, she has no expression of dislike or anything as such towards the flirting lady. Instead she welcomes her heartily and shouts for munna ( the helper boy) to get a colddrink. (Indicates - that even though she is very silent but its her who has the control and authority in every matter in her home. Munna spits in both the glasses and brings the drink. The flirting lady drinks casually. But the wife looks at the boy suspiciously and then pretends to drink but does not take actual sip. ( Implies - that nothing is hidden in that house or anywhere from her. She is that kind of the women. Her silence is her weapon.) She is among those people who dont say but does it without any regrets no matter what it is. She only gives one silent warning. If you catch it you are good and saved. If not then the next thing is the final slap from which one can never snap out. This story that she is going to tell is her silent warning. Even though she portrays her husbands family to be of the type who dont mind playing with people and lives by authority implying they are dangerous for common innocent people, in reality its not him but the wife who is real danger. Bola was like a puppy to her untill he married. Once he got married and told her that his wife will not help in household chores, he was the snake in her perspective. You have to carefully take it out of the scene. But typically in those type of families, women are told that they wont understand things so stay out of certain matters and only to look into their duties as husband is the head of the family. But that very attitude is these womens armour. They stay out of all suspensions in any kind of situations. Yes, the lady does have a history or a pseudo emotions connected with the husbands brother. She purposefully makes her husband to forget the lunch box which suddenly happened that day which is not a frequent happening. She waits for the servent to come, to open the box and start pretending to be heating the chutney. She tells him literally to go (naturally he will go to his place where he stays as he is a servent in the house) as she is already heating the lunch. She could have asked the servent to do it but she insists on doing it herself. She then concentrates to hear whats going on and she does not finishes heating the chutney. When he returns, she looks at him speculating, whats going through his mind and does not feels sorry for him for what he has found out. she then, the whole day keeps her eyes and ears open. Bola was too angry to share with anyone or to complain or to cry or to even scream at his wife. When his silent anger was not understood but instead was pushed to kitchen by his employer, to cook for the evening dinner, he feeds them his wife. He kills her and cooks her. Thats why the dinner was too good that day. (Watch the way she says it) And we will not see his wife after that. (Or else she should have screamed or alteast she would be there when bola died). The younger brother of the employer finds that out, he kills the servant. The husband who is the man of the house is shocked and does not know what happened or why it happened. But being bewildered by the situation becomes partially dumb but out of habit stops the wife indicating not to poke her nose in the matter. But she authoritatively pushes his hand down looking into his eye saying better you stay quite now and i know by business. ( as in reality she controls everything in home with her silent self). This is not a new thing for her. She knows her plans and its outcomes. Thats why she's not a bit shaken. She does everything in a practiced manner as if she knows it and she is doing it for a hundredth time --> (Checking and confirming his death, informing to dig, taking off the cloth of the dead body, telling them to dig deeper - knows well that body stinks over time and reasons it out as if its a common sense (knowledge) which her husband should have known naturally, and burning off the evidence(cloths), and then immediately ( without any discussion) putting seeds for plants to grow within days so no one can doubt the spot). She does not flinch or hesitate even once. ( am not saying she has done hundreds of murders, but she is mentally and psychologically used to these things as its in her nature. Doesnt mean that she hurts people on a daily basis. Small things that she does every day devoiding herself of any kind of guilt and shutting off the emotions temporarily from taking over her common sense and reasoning and planning ability goes a long way.) She says that the waste degradable items are used for growing useful plants - indicating any how he had become a waste a long time back in her view. ( notice her expression every time she says waste). So, now it can be taken as a made up story and assume that she may do it to her if its required and may be is telling the flirting lady her own possible future in a twisted way but, if she freaks out or tries to be extra smart and leaks it outside and comes to an investigation --> ( The hidden part in the story is that there is no evidence remaining any more. A lady like her who with out flinching and with out thinking twice performs the post death crime ritual so normally will not leave the decayed body's bones there to remain.) Then the next part of the story will unwind and the flirting lady who is supposed to be so called smart and charming will be the ultimate fool but in front of so many people with its further consequences. There is also a secret warning to the current servant, included in this story as well. The last scene which shows the ladies sitting on the roof top in an open area (signifies that the lady is at the top and is a "carefree", "dont care" and a "guilt free" person. And the flirting lady is in the virtual jurisdiction of her secret world. And the tightly cluttered building signifies that in this cluttered populated world no one will notice what she silently does and neither is visible to those people's eyes who has no clue of her hidden side what so ever.
