Had an unintentional moment with this song this evening. Was cruising on the main highway with my black M6 FE. Just driving at 30mph and taking in the sunset while listening to Horizon Pulse. All the while some other players were doing their drag races in HyperCars past me. Moments later evening turns to night and this song starts to play. And as it does a player in a black Aventador comes up behind me and slows down to cruise with me. Next a pink and blue 599XX EVO shows up and slows down with us. As one we all turn the bend at the end of the highway, start accelerating to 80mph back down the highway, and just as the chorus starts to play we all floor it. Darting past the blurring street lamps under a canopy of black, the 599 spitting flames ahead as I fight the Lambo for second. Together we do two laps of the highway, and just as the song ends, we all go our separate ways. I pull in beside a farm house, and end my gaming session there. It's moments like that why I play these games.

I had a similar experience like this too while driving a 03 GTI with a random 240sx and a E30 that pulled up on me. It was the during the short night cycle in the city too, so it just added to the vibes. Thanks for sharing !

I hope you manage to sort out whatever you’re going through - I always find music helps when I’m going through a hard time So make sure to Bury It and rise above, escape the Never Ending Circles of whatever is stressing you out and work on the Down Side of [you] until you Recover and see the Clearest Blue :) Edit: you missed a chance to say "buried Under The Tide of comments!"

I was in the crowd in Louisville on July 14th. The crowd singing the "didn't you say that", the piling synth, the energy of the festival and Lauren leading us like a ship through waters. It was magic. You guys are rock stars.

I love this new direction that Chvrches are going in. It allows Lauren's vocals to really shine through. She normally would have a tendency to have to shout over the music. Very 80's synth. Awesome stuff. Loved every new song so far

Lavren's vocals have noticeably improved on this album. That's not to say that they weren't good before, because they were, but it's kind of like Lavren is an RPG character and she put one point into singing and it levelled up between albums.

Thank you, Chvrches, for creating this wonderful song. I have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, which causes me to get frequent flashbacks that occur out of nowhere during periods of stress. Oh the days where I would speed up the highway in my Ferrari 599X that I tuned to go 300+ mph while listening to this song, I would listen to it with headphones because I couldn’t have the tv too loud but these days were the best, it was one of the few fast cars I had so I loved it, and I loved racing people up the highway and into Edinburg, I miss these days

To be fair, there isn't much going on in the video. It's an image with audio overlay, and people create stronger bonds with music if they can link it to something they enjoyed, such as a video game or movie. I don't play Forza, and therefore didn't come across the band via that game series, but I respect Microsoft for giving the band the time of day that they deserve, which isn't something many other games or even radio stations do. (For the record, I came across this band when my local grocery store was playing 'Miracle' on their own indie radio station.)
