As as an Irish person and people we always knew this was going to happen. This has been coming for the past twenty years he just needed the right director and he found one in Christopher Nolan. Who is one of cinema's great technical directors. I have seen nearly all of Nolans work. But lost interest after interstellar, inception and I tried to follow tenet. Dunkirk was just saving private ryan on a boat. Dark Knight rises was an awful film for all sorts of reasons.mostly storytelling Dark Knight was the best comic book film he ever did.

Agree! I discovered Cillian in "28 days later", then "Red Eye", but "The wind that shakes the barley" was "wow! this guy has IT" What a great, intense, moving film. I still rewatch it from time to time. And this morning I woke up with the wonderful news that his talent has been recognized globally, at last. Congratulations, Cillian!!!!

Okay watched it. This movie was amazing!! One of the best I have seen in years. Especially was engrossed in the end when they show that their test worked. But I was in so much suspense at the end of the movie. Must have been a challenge to make.

@@md4933Also “Hunger” with Michael Fassbender - he portrays Bobby Sands, the first Volunteer in the IRA to die during the 1981 Hunger Strikes. You should also watch H3 - it’s REAL - it was written by Volunteer Laurence McKeown, who actually took part in the prison protests and went on hunger strike
