Agreed on all of this really, but mostly, I'm just SO JEALOUS you didn't have to wait so long for Circe! I would be over the moon if she published a book every year or two. (Provided the quality stays at the level it's at of course...) I'm hosting a readalong for Song of Achilles this month because I can't stop raving about it on my channel and I'm personally desperate for a re-read!

I loved the Song of Achilles so much, I can't wait to read Circe. Well actually I can wait, it's super expensive so I'm gonna wait a while in order to find a used copy of it :(

It does start off a bit slowly, and it never really picks up the pace too much but I just found it to be so engaging the deeper I got into the story

For what its worth, circe also fights batman and justice league. She also turns wonder woman into a pig and batman takes care of the pig. Not making it up, I had seen the JL episodes first and read this book - and they are so contradicting. In the book you feel for circe but in JL she's an absolute ass. haha..

I read this last week and had some issues with the feminist representation and the incorporation of all the Greek characters. I'm glad you liked it though. A 5 star rating is a rarity from you.
