Yes, I do build cities that are not on grid plans!
This is a labor of love...I got into hand-placing my buildings a while back and this is one of my oldest cities...where I've done the most work (but I am by no means finished).
This flyover approaches from the current southern edge of town, flying over the Anderson Hill, Richie Boulevard, and Crestview neighborhoods looking north towards the Central Business District at the center of town.

Thank you! I’ve been around a little while, but decided last month I was going to amp up my production quality since my last few videos (especially the city fix) just did not land as well as I thought they might. I’d say based on the recent performance of my last video that I made the right decision!

Population 297k. . .excellent! For me I'm maxing at around 120k and struggling to push past that threshold. Might try 75% high density residential. As a matter of interest, what is the base map and how many land squares have you used?

I totally forget which base map I used, but it comes with the vanilla game. The city uses the entire map, with the 81 tiles mod, with most of the development to the south from where two rivers come together. I'm going to make some more flyovers and cinematics for this town too. I didn't keep a lot of the earlier savegames, but I do have some...so I'll do some morphs to show the changes I made, and probably the terrible traffic problems I had lol! The city uses the Realistic Pop & Consumption mod (or Realistic Population Revisited now I think...whatever the updated one is called) so it is more dense than it would be with the vanilla economy.

im like into 120k pop as well..and im like ok thats it..it usually takes me 6hrs fixing stuff like traffic and mass transpo per district..so 200k?i dunno..might take me a year.lol
