There is plenty of money in Fiji, but it is not filtering down to its people's, that is very unfair. I was in this city last week and at this very market were I brought 4 good sized pineapples for 10 dollars, my wife wanted to barter but I was happy to pay the price. On my first trip there I saw a white family there but the 2nd time we were the only white people there ,I was at that coffee show twice good coffee and cake. I also brought a shirt there Fijian style. You do need to watch out but the people are very nice and friendly

Nice and friendly but there are some pick pockets n Con Man roaming around. Never Shake hands with a Stranger. Be on Guard. They'll Grab your hand tight n secure and not let go. You won't be able to free your hand. They'll plead for money with stories of dying kids in hospital etc. Mostly done by some "friendly" Natives. Generally they very Nice friendly n helpful. Happened to me in Ltk. You won't believe this. Inside a Pharmacy. He gave me his hand n said him n his wife saw me at the airport arriving. He asked do u remember me ? I said no. Oh I'm not in my Uniform. He held my hand shake hand tight n secure .I couldn't free my hand. Then he started pleading for money . MY son in Hospital etc. I said I don't know you. By then I knew he was a conman. I pointed to the cctv camera inside n told him you already on camera n I'll call Police n make sure they get you n charge you. He immd. let go n walked out. There's ano one roaming in Ltk City targeting Tourist with Souvenirs. He'll befriend u n pretend to offer a free Souvenir with cony friendly chat . He'll ask your name n write it on it and say ," $30 " !! " We are poor People eh ?" . So don't get carried away by their friendliness. They will steal your wallet if they can.

56:23 This area is just b4 Lautoka Sugar Mill coming from Nandi to Ltk. taking the sea side rd. On the right were Mill Workers Quarters built in a row. Known as Lane . From early 1900 to 1960s On the left was A soccer field. The yellow building had few shops. 56:32 The White wooden building on Rt was Some sort of Show Room. Motor Mowers , Machines ? etc were sold there. Some Big Co owned it. Burns Phillip ,Morris Hedstrom Or Niranjan . 56:40 This building on Lt was Morris Hedstom Ltd Super market in 50s n 60s . Or there about. Further up is Water Front near Ltk Wharf .

Hello Connie and Pate. Looks like you guys are having an awesome time in Fiji. I lived near Lautoka some 53 years ago and moved to Canada in 1970 when I was 9 years old but remember the wharf really well. Just a suggestion about your videos I noticed sometimes you interrupt Connie and not let her finish what she is saying. Please please take this as a constructive criticism.
