In this game of Civ 6, we’ll be playing as Phonecia in our latest Civilization VI A to Z challenge. This time, we’ll be running Dido with a very particular challenge.
I’ve set up a map to produce the craziest Settler production city EVER. We have literally everything I need here to make the ULTIMATE city. I’m being serious - you’ll have NEVER seen anything quite like this before…!

If I recall correctly, there was a bug a year or three ago when, if you sold a great work on the turn it was generated, you could sell it for an absurd amount of money. I'm thinking the "relics sell for nothing on the turn they appear" was probably a fix for that bug? Like, it was a bug they put a lot of time into trying to fix that they just couldn't get working, so they just made it cost nothing on turn one instead. I've seen and fixed bugs that way, it's not the BEST way to do it, but it's good enough.

Ursa my history with Island based maps in CIv6 has taught me the AI is HORRIBLE at land use. That's why they rarely build wonders. ON TOP OF THE FACT, in any game, the AI doesnt think ahead about wonders that have requirements. (Like Great Lighthouse is rarely built because it not only needs a district but the lighthouse too. (Side note: I still think Great Lighthouse should only need a Harbor and when it is build should give you a free Lighthouse in that city with its' normal bonuses.))

You should move your capital to a small continent and use the colonial cards for growth, production, gold and loyalty in almost every other city of yours

cothons also give 50% towards settlers. i was thinking, maybe you wait till settler cost becomes 2 turns, then make a product, since production overflow from units does not carry over? this simcity game is what everyone wants to play, superb fun!

The AI in my games go for shitloads of army, like, 4k army points. In the classical era. But hey, more wonders for me.

Maybe the terrain isn't favourable for building a lot of the wonders? So it's easier for Ursa who has way more cities to be able to build them. That said there's still a lot of wonders I expect the AI to be able to find places for.

In maratime maps, AI tends to struggle a bit more to build wonders, I guess it's because of the lack of space, maybe the AI prefer to build discrits and has no room for the wonders

In my games they spam infinite amounts of farms and military. And always go for the usual early wonders.

you should try the better city state screen mod, it's UI only, so it's save game compatible and you can remove it safely if you dont like it, all it does is group the city states by type (science with science, etc.) and adds a small line at the bottom with tallies for how many you have of each type for kilwa ease

DID YOU KNOW that you could build Panama between and inland city and a coastal city. How about building a giga Panama city in the north so you can get to Rome. The Panama can extend 3 tiles so you would need 2 cities and the other cities also building a candle to fully connect

If you put Kilwa on a different tile you could have had Kilwa, Casa and Amundsen-Scott in the same city.
