Vera admitting she auditioned for Sarah's role blew me away, isn't it refreshing to see someone who is at peace enough with themselves to be able to laugh and joke with their competition? Actresses get a bad wrap sometimes, actors can be worse and much more infantile too. Very dynamic panel of women, I've sincerely enjoyed all of their current work.

yeh alot of that is media. they speak about it in another round table about being "difficult" or a diva when you actually want to talk about your role or the work your doing wen your passionate. just the double standard there is in that industry specifically even though you might expect it to be different since its a place for human stories. Also reality tv projects a false image of women in groups and although no one takes that shit seriously the whole stereotype of women being catty and competitive is one created in high school and usually left in high school unless perpetuated in such "reality" tv sets.

Vera Farmiga seemed very interesting and I had the impression that her insights might have been different from the others and would have added more to the dialogue. I wish we heard more from her. With these roundtables, it is natural for the more extroverted to speak out first and more often, so it is up to the interviewers to prompt the quieter guests. I wish they'd done that with Vera. I would have loved to know more about her.

+Katy Deschanel Perry - I concur eleventy-one percent. I have a hard time deciding who my favorite actress is, i.e., specifically it's a "tie" between Vera and Naomi Watts. It's funny though, this _particular_ group, in that my Claire Danes and Sarah Paulson are probably my silver and bronze.

Vera Farmiga is a very talented actress and her eyes are so mesmerizing. I don't think it's simply the eye color; others have the same eye color, but there's just a very serene quality to her face, coupled with her mesmerizing eyes, and also an equally serene personality... it's all very hypnotic. She also is insightful in this round table. I just wished she talked more.

Sarah Paulson did a great job in Martha Marcy May Marlene. She and Elizabeth Olsen both gave really elegant and nuanced performances. Also I love her outfit in this, tres chic.

It probably does. I would also say if there was round table with passionate doctors (as long as they talked in laymen terms) or maybe interior designers I would watch that as well. I like their passion and drive. I don't watch most of these show but Claire Danes does an amazing job on Homeland. I think something is attracting me sad though since this will never be part of my world.

Quite a pleasant roundtable. Sarah Paulson is pretty funny as always, Vera Farmiga's eyes and sophisticated voice are a bit intimidating as always, Jessica Pare's candor is charming as always, Julianna Margulies has a strong "leader" vibe as always, Claire Danes seems fun to hang out with, reminding us of her acting skills (she's nothing like Carrie), and Keri Russell laughs a lot. Oh, and she's the most beautiful girl of the bunch.

B) No I don't watch the mens round table trying to decide who's the hottest one, but only because I'm a straight guy, and if a girl did that, as many do, I think I'd survive. As a black man after watching 12 Years A Slave, I HATED Sarah Paulson. I wanted to kill her. Then I watched AHM seasons 1-3 and fell in love with her. I guess thats just a testament to how good of an actor she is.

+Kay Klas (Klas647) Similar experience in hating actors at least. Forrest Whitaker - saw him first in The Last King of Scotland, kills his wife and cuts her limbs off and swaps them (legs sewed onto shoulders and vice versa). Hated him. Then I saw the butler an d I mellowed.

i really love that ending sarah paulson is a riot i feel like these guys would be just perfect friends how is it possible that they all have such great chemistry together please be fast friends and get on that store idea i want some alicia cookies, josh charles can make the espressos, mathew rhys can be there too oh and goode because goodwife and rhysy pal connection. Hugh Dancy too and all of these women, maybe this place should serve more than just cookies.

The ending is hilarious. Make that macaroon shop happen, I will definitely be a regular customer. Such a great interview, though I only watch half of these shows and haven't caught up so I didn't come out of it entirely spoiler-free. But I've really fallen in love with these wonderful women beyond their careers and I love that.

I love these round tables, but it took me awhile to put my finger on why one of the hosts is off-putting to me. She tends to hedge her question by saying something like "it must have been nerve racking when" which puts an emotion on another person. You could really see how uncomfortable the comedy actresses were with her questions because often they felt the opposite of what she proposed and possibly felt judged for feeling that way. As a general interviewing rule, you should not answer the question you are asking.

we're in the middle of The Americans right now (thanks to COVID-19 lockdown), and I just realized why Kerri Russell is SO glowing here - her "on the set" romance with her leading man Matthew Rhys was in full swing back in 2014. I like her in the series and she seems a fun gal too.
