For the peeps who came from the recommended, the “Revolution Longest Lap Race” is race where in the racers aren’t supposed to cross the finish line for the first 3-4 minutes. After said time, at a random point between 3-4 mins, the starter will fire the gun signaling the “start” of the actual race. So you see them edging towards the finish line to gain the lead once started but is very hard to maintain such a teach with bikes designed to only maintain balance while in motion. Any contact with the ground will eliminate you as well.
@relinquishedforever85052 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure I understand the point of this. Why don't they just all line up and go once the shot is made?
@bot70702 жыл бұрын
@@relinquishedforever8505 The race itself is just a fun thing that was thought up almost 16 years ago at the Marymount GP. It was formerly called the “Marymount Crawl” but Revolution thought it was fun enough to be included to their own events. The fun part was having the racers start at the current start line and have they maintain their balance for 3-4 mins and have their reaction times tested for the gun. They can’t line up due to the nature of the bike. If they lined up, they would have no space to swerve their front wheel to stay upright. If they fall, it could start a domino effect so the racers tend to stay away from each other.

@Toykio3 жыл бұрын
EBV The event is called Longest Lap, basically the riders ride a round up to the line and are not allowed to cross it until the signal is given at a random time. The difficulty is that the riders obviously want to be as close to the line as possible but are not allowed to cross it, set down a foot, hold onto other riders or such for balance. Once the signal is given it‘s a one lap sprint. The event itself is not a very serious one but it is somewhat derived from the classic sprint.
@Toykio3 жыл бұрын
@@qazwsxbjioknmlp8046 You get disqualified from the race. In the video you can see some riders not much caring for this race and just rolling past the line. In short: don't step off, cross line or touch anything to hold balance (except headbutt a other rider apparently) until the shot is given for the sprint or you are disqualified, then it's an ewasy 400m sprint to the line with riders reaching over 1000 Watts.
