Mine personal hair growth success, I myself followed this daily regimen: Take morning sunlight daily for essential vitamin D. Consume veggies of different colours. Using paraben-free and fragrance free shampoo and massaging two times per week with hair oil from litttleextra cocooonion oil. Imp. to remember that hair growth is affected by overall well-being as well as circulation and nutrition.

So glad you decided to discuss this topic. I have been trying the sulfate free shampoos and have has horrible experiences. My scalp never felt clean and I was constantly oily. I went back to a shampoo with sulfates and won’t look back :). Love the idea of sulfate free shampoo but hate the results.

It really depends on your hair type. I have curly hair and sulfates are too harsh for my naturally lower level of moisture and oil. My mother has normal hair that can lean oily and doesn’t find my shampoos to be sufficient. She uses sulfates with no issue

My beautician told me to stop using shampoos with sulfates due to my hair loss..I’d been to Dr.s who said it wasn’t due to a health problem. Hi Dr. Dray! I just wanted to thank you for changing my life. I know that may sound a little dramatic, but let me explain. I don’t have any serious skin issues. Just occasionally eczema and I’ve been getting a lot of pimples and acne on my face and noticing just general aging (just turned 27.) I’ve been to good dermatologists for just basic cancer screenings and to look at my eczema. But i don’t think they have the time to educate each patient during appointments on the chemistry of skin, and how different products can support it. So I really has no idea how I should be treating me skin. Just sort of band-aiding problems. Long story short my skin is now literally flawless now after finding your videos maybe a month ago. Thank you for making this information accessible, fun to listen to, and very clear. You’re awesome! All of this has really given me confidence and makes me feel empowered for knowing how to treat my skin, which makes up the majority of my body. It just makes me really happy. So thank you. Also ignore the haters. They have no idea what they’re talking about.

Truth. I've been embarrassed about the discolored sebaceous filaments on my nose since I was a teen. I thought they were blackheads but they never responded to anything I was told to do. My dermatologist didn't think they were serious or important. BUT IT WAS IMPORTANT TO ME! Anyhow, a change in cleansing and adding a few serums and little by little, they are fading. My bumpy chin is looking smoother. Yeah! Oh and my weird sunspot in my eyebrow is fading. Best wishes ❤

I have to say that I've been using Hask shampoos for almost 3 years and they helped me so much, it cleanses my scalp very well and doesn’t dry out my hair. It seriously helped me really really a lot when I had dandruff and dry hair. I don’t have problems anymore with my hair. I also use a shampoo from the drugstore and alternate it with the Hask one to make sure my scalp is clean since it can become oily sometimes and that has worked for me so well for more than a 2 years. 😃😃😃

Your information has been a godsend. I’ve been dealing with some rough dandruff lately and I learned a lot from a video you made talking about the yeast and tinea versicolor, which ironically I developed something that seems like that years ago. It started on my arm and just kind of spread and nothing worked. I gave the head and shoulders a try and it cleared up in a few weeks! My scalp is still pretty dandruffy though but I’ve never tried a scalp scrub, but I’m looking into trying it. I don’t use many products other than heat protectant for styling and dry shampoo when my hair is on day 3 but only if I’m leaving the house. The dandruff is there, but my scalp is oily like my face skin. I’ve used the t/sal before and it helped with some painful irritation I struggled with a long time ago (I was using WEN for a few years, I stopped, went back to regular shampoo and t/sal and that specific thing never happened again). I’ve just learned so much from your videos in the past year that I’ve been watching. Thank you for the work that you do. ❤️

Thank you Dr. Dray, for another great video on hair care. As a licensed, working hairstylist for 36 years, I appreciate logical, clear information. I would caution anyone purchasing professional (Paul Mitchell, RedKen, etc) products from grocery, drug or discount stores. Manufacturers of professional hair care products DO NOT sell their products to these outlets. They truly do not. They are bought from other sources through diverters. These are large groups of people who go into large salons (like JCPenney salons & others) & attempt to purchase as much as they can to re-package, even dilute & resell for profit. I have seen clients bring in products they purchased from grocery/drug stores that had been tampered with & were not what the bottle said it was. I have dealt with many groups of diverters over the years. Please purchase from an actual salon. Feel free to call Paul Mitchell (no, I do not work for a manufacturer, just an experienced hairdresser) or any other professional manufacturers and ask for their diversion department & they can give you this same info and a lot more! Soap box over!!😁

Do they need to be left on the scalp for a period of time or are they essentially instantaneous? Should you lather-rinse-repeat or just apply and whatever is not removed can be removed at the next week's use? Is there an ideal conditioner to use after a clarifier? I think (hope) that's all of my questions. Tfs! Edit: removed a question that I answered myself.

@@tomasgomez1906 I get this too. To my understanding this is usually caused by product buildup or hard water. in some cities there is calcium in the water (the water that you shower with) and it can cause a buildup on your scalp. not super sure how to treat it yet but i hope this helped!!

Thank you Dr Dray for adressing this topic! Is Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate also a clarifying surfectant? What do you think of scalp bushes and micro scrub beads for removing scalp buildup? For my dry curly hair I like Briogeo's Scalp Revival Charcoal and Coconut Shampoo it has Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate with micro beads. Also Bouncecurl Clarifying Shampoo. Both contain fragrance but are cleansing and moisturizing enough for dry curly hair

G G I do. I switch it up and will use regular shampoo and salicylic acid. I alternate between the two each time I wash my hair which is about every other day. If I wash my hair four days a week about two times will be s acid and the other two regular shampoo. If I feel like I have a lot of buildup I may use a regular more moisturizing shampoo and then go in for a second wash w the s acid concentrated on the roots

Literally obsessed with your videos. Appreciating your recent content on hair care. What shampoos do you recommend for keratin treated hair? For those of us with a keratin treatment, hair professionals have advised us to avoid sulphates and sodium chloride as those ingredients degrade the keratin treatment. As a result, I find it hard to find products that thoroughly clean my hair while leaving the keratin treatment relatively intact.

This is great, I've been looking for a substitute for the Pureology Purify that has been discontinued. It was the secret weapon for my show cats' bathing ritual. Cat sebum is high in waxy diesters, compared to human sebum that is mostly triglycerides, so it's a struggle to get them squeaky clean.
