Mr Walker was the voice of most motorsports I watched growing up, not just F1. Gone…..but never forgotten.

R.I.P Murray Walker

@28:00 Damon Hill bounces onto the stage to present Murray with an award and seeing the reaction from Murray, brings a tear to to the eye. We miss you Murray.

"And it's go, go, go, here at the Monaco Grand Prix" Murray Walkers voice was a big part of my Sundays as a child, watching F1 with my grandad. I haven't been able to watch F1 regularly since my grandad passed away and today's F1 does not appear to have the same appeal but Murray's voice, the sound of F1 engines, and Damon Hill crashing out just as you've started to build your hopes up is a very nostalgic sound for me. Combined with a Sunday roast followed by sponge cake and custard. Happy times. The heartbeat theme song has an equally nostalgic effect on me but less happy because it makes me think that the weekend is coming to an end and it's almost time for school in the morning.
