FILM DESCRIPTION:
Perseus (Harry Hamlin), son of the Greek god Zeus (Laurence Olivier), grows up on a deserted island. His destiny is to marry Princess Andromeda (Judi Bowker), who will someday rule the city of Joppa. But as long as the satyr Calibos (Neil McCarthy) -- who uses a giant vulture to kidnap Andromeda's soul every night -- is alive, no one can marry her. Perseus travels to Joppa, where he must defeat Calibos and other mythological monsters to rescue Andromeda.

I was 8 when this came out and around that time Star Wars, Clash of the Titans, Flash Gordon, Raiders, - all of that good stuff - it was all equal in my book. What a time to be a kid.

Una ladera del conocido como Pago de (o del...) Galamar, perteneciente a la localidad española de Guadix, fue durante unos breves pero reconocibles instantes, parte del épico escenario de fondo en el que transcurre la mitológica escena de la captura de Pegaso que se ofrece, extractada, en este segundo video de una serie que recopila algunas partes de la película Furia de Titanes (1981). Tan solo unos pocos segundos abarca cada una de las secuencias rodadas en algun momento del año 1979, por algún lugar de ese apacible valle que discurre por la vertiente Sur de una arcillosa fila de montes, vecina del llamado Cerro de la Escalera, esa otra mas oriental cadena de cerros que, sirviéndole de geológico y casi inaccesible límite geográfico, alberga excavadas por su cara Norte, las últimas cuevas habitadas de la troglodita población accitana.
