Okay is anybody gonna comment on Ak's cool moment at 1:04:05? That was seriously awesome :) Oh and he should've gotten +2 Overdrive damage for his teeth :)

This is the class that I was least inspired by in reading the name. After hearing you go over several of their abilities about 25 minutes in and I think this will be my next class.

I'm glad! Yeah that's understandable, since this class has no predecessor so it's "schtick" isn't familiar. I appreciate also that Paizo makes mechanics (pun unintended!) that are unique and "feel" like each new class that they make.

This will probably get lost in the masses as this is an older vid but my nephew is picking up pf2 and playing an inventor for his first class, i directed him here for pointers and he says it was very helpfull for getting him started

I hope he doesn't beat himself up over the little mistakes. he's playing 3 characters faster than a lot of players I know play one, and DMing at the same time.

Don't worry I'm not beating myself up :) It has made me more laser focused on getting every rule right before I post tho, and even then this "rules lawyer" makes mistakes! The rules are there to facilitate fun anyway. Nearly all the comments have been appreciated

Maybe a dwarf armor inventor with gunslinger dedication, usin a shield and the Clan pistol!

A young inventor ratfolk that grew as part of a miner community, aiding as well as messing with his peers with her devices in an attempt to enhance their efficiency in compensation to her weak body (will focus on giving overdrive to her aliens to make them more awesome and using gadgets to answer problems along the way)

I really like the idea of the construct innovation, but the feat tax for the Advanced/Incredible/Paragon Companion feats really cuts in to what you are able to choose. Examples of desirable feats that one would be otherwise able to take without the essential construct companion feats are: Gadget Specialist, Megaton Strike, Megavolt/Gigavolt, Clockwork Shell, Clockwork Celerity. In other words, the three essential construct companions take up a number of your class feats, weighted towards your first 5 feats.

Inventor is so cool. It seems that the best options are around the companion. It's like seeing a ranger who doesn't take the animal companion options. Like, do you just hate MAPless attacks or something? In all seriousness, though, it looks cool and I'm excited to play one.

I thoroughly enjoy your content and I've been subscribed for a while. I love the combat demonstrations but I can imagine someone watching it and, if they're new, feeling overwhelmed. You're playing as all the characters and the GM, and it's a great example of how the mechanics work but new players might be intimidated. A demonstration where you are a player rather than a GM might be nice to see, where the enemies and allies actions are described narratively with the rolls are handwaved, and the only the protagonist's turn is detailed. This is a more accurate demonstration of the actual experience a player might have and might be both faster and easier to understand. I make this suggestion, but I do enjoy this detailed view of every turn too

Hm, interesting. I have thought about treating it more narratively but I'm also trying to convey how the mechanics inform your choices. I don't want to abandon the rules explanation aspect but I've thought about giving a "fluff summary" of what's going on but was concerned about the videos already getting kind of long. Will give this some thought

if you want to lessen the time to make things I recommend inventor and archetyping into alchemist to take alchemical familiar so they can help craft to cut the time down to make things. I takes a few abilities feats to do so .a dagger invention at first can be parsing ,slashing ,or blunt damage at first level and a d6 instead of d4. at higher levels with critt special you get d6 bleeding. I added acid and acid persistent damage. and poisons from alchemist.

Really like this take to explain some of the classes that had come, any chance that you would give an opinion of how good the new weapons are? And what place the crossbow are now with the Gunslinger and inventor?

Probably not I'm afraid, I have a long queue of ideas that has been held back due to the recent flood of new books and playtests released! If there's a clamor for any particular idea tho I just might do it.

Does a Construct Inventor need to be adjacent to their Construct Companion (and therefore in the blast radius) in order to use the Explode action? It doesn't explicitly say so, but the Manipulate trait made me wonder.

I think that a lot of these classes definitely benefit, even in flavour, from the archetype system. Mixing in say a Wizard or Alchemist gives so many options that you can flavour in to be somewhat more like the 5e Artificer.

Question I have not found an answer for yet. 2nd lvl feat reverse engineer requires crafting at expert lvl which the class does not get until 3rd lvl. How would fix this Paizo forum has not given an answer for this yet nor have I seen any errata yet.

I did have a question in regard to the feature that allows you to craft common/uncommon gadgets for free per day, do the formulas scale assuming you can learn them or do they always stay lesser/base?

They don't automatically scale -- as you can see with the Impact Foam Chassis, there are different versions of the same item. Formulas are quite cheap to buy or invent, however - although they're classed as Uncommon, I think a GM generally should allow the inventor to use their Inventor feat to craft the next-higher version of the same item with no issue.

You can click "Block" on the damage entry in chat before applying damage and it will do all the calculation and damaging the shield for you. Also seizes to work when the shield breaks

The DC17 flat check is really punishing, it should be 15. The cost greatly outweighs the benefit.

But why did Ak stride forward for his first Action? he can jump up to 30ft in one direction. A Flat Check Crit Failure on Unstable gives you Fire Dmg equal your Level so if Ak was Level 1 and he had a critical Failure on his unstable Flat check, he would got 1 Fire dmg only and his Armor Invention cant do any UnstableActions until its repaired, so why did Ak fell down to 0?

Overdrive works on ranged attacks making ranged inventor a barbarian equivalent for ranged damage. I currently play armour inventor with 2h weapon and construct companion (as class feat, not invention). You can have it all.

It begs the question about why there's a market of crafted items at all? If the sail price equals the crafting cost all of these crafters are netting $0 for all of their effort. It's honestly unrealistic & emersion breaking.

5e Artificiers are WEAK AF

the Tinker gets no spells like the artificer in D&D. this makes the class boring for me. reminds me of the gunslinger in PF. really lacking and boring. IDK i tried to like pf but IMO the classes are so lacking.
