It's great to see some series trucks as there is not enough old series content on KZfaq

I'm the guy in the grey 1958 series I The problem with Rovers is the modern owners...... Back in the 1980's when I started wheeling these, many American Rover owners were old school guys that weren't afraid to tackle the Rubicon (see Rubicon Trail Foundation KZfaq videos from old 1960's Rubicon runs...... 1948-1949 series I shows up in a lot of them, along with a IIA 109 wagon !!) Get out and wheel these things hard !! Not near as fragile as the internet booo birds say !! They respond really well to little mods !!!

Yeah I have a 69 series 2a swb and once it drives I'm really excited to start wheeling it.@@timmcooper294

I had a 1969 IIA that I wheeled the Rubicon with 30 years ago open diff, no lift, had a blast ! Start out stock, learn to drive it well, then add little things like belly protection, real rock sliders, and lockers. Stick with stock leaf springs, like my 58 has, NO parabolics !! They wrap and hop like mad, can't climb (Like coil sprung Land Rovers LOL!!)@@danielsher9493

@@timmcooper294 proper drivers and owners back then, not the current sissies haha. LRs are immensely capable vehicles but that goes in hand with their drivers using them properly

Hey Guys, This was fun to watch. I bought a flat fender mix and match a couple years ago. I pulled the valve in head engine and had a good friend make the engine like new. The seller said it was a 1945 CJ2A but the internet has shown me it is many parts put together to make a plow jeep. I like building stuff but am not an engine guy. I have acquired three more frames, two with both axles and another tub. The frame and body of the original purchase were hacked up before I paid too much for it. but I will make it a fun little toy to play with here on the plains of Kansas. I turned 75 last year and figure I have a few more years to play in before something puts me on the side lines. I also build Hot Rods but I figure a lil jeep can get me out of the shop for a change of scenery now and then. Keep wheelin and enjoying your rides. Take care

great video sir! I watched several videos before, interesting to see those flat fenders with tim and jess series 1. Flat fender and series 1 are my fav. I'm in the process of building an MB or Series 1, I hope one of them will be finished as soon as possible, can't decide which one lol
