My suggestion for the next ml amped plugin is, get this, two classic solid state stereo amps: the gallien kreuger 250 ml and the Roland jazz chorus. Covers everything from jazz to metal. Booya!

It's great news to have a different sounding guitar plugin aside from the hundreds of Mesa Boogies/Peaveys/Marshalls that come out every other month with basically nothing special or different than anything related that's been released before. Can't wait to grab my copy! One question from an unrelated-ish topic, though: not sure if you've been following the amp sim/gain staging/interface input gain discussion that's been happening (again) on the internet trhough the past couple weeks. What people "figured out" is that pretty much all amp sims from any brand will sound better when the interface input gain is dropped down to zero (no input gain at all) - which kind of makes sense when you think that these sims have been modelled after a real amp, and aside from an overdrive/booster we don't have any type of preamp going between the guitar and the amp in the physical realm. The only thing that would need to be adjusted is the amp sim's digital input gain, which in most cases just needs to be slightly tweaked, and this will depend on which interface and amp sim you're using. They even made a chart for that!! So the question itself is: do you guys actually confirm that your sims will sound more accurately if we don't boost the input gain on our interfaces? By standard I've always used to get the input level between -12 and -6 by boosting the preamp on the interface - pretty common practice when recording guitar DI's - , but out of curiosity I tried to do as described above (using the paid version of Roots) and suddenly all presets seemed to started sounding more natural, with more dynamics and headroom, responding more like the physical amp. Not sure if this really makes sense or is just that my ears got biased after this whole discussion lol, but I'd love to hear from you about his topic. Even a video explaing it as a best practice to use your plugins the intended way would be awesome.
