There is little slip in the translation of " The meadows used to be green and so were the bulls", actualy Bullen/Bull'n is a degarotiv term for police officers.

I really like AMK, it's both a different and nostalgic sound, both this specific song as well as Hennings voice. It's also nice to hear more German music making it outside of the language group

OMG Sirrrr, this band is extraordinary and Henning May’s “bluesy/rocky-ish” raspy voice is out of this world!!👌I also got to know them through their cover of Tom's Diner with the Giant Rooks, which went viral some time ago. I absolutely love their very cool/casual/raw(?) approach to delivery their amazing music, often choosing peculiar places to record their performances that can add some interesting natural sound texture/reverberation effects. Their covers in English are invariably remarkable (highly recommend their interpretation of ‘Can't get you out of my head’ with the Parcels band in a greenhouse and The Police’s ‘Roxanne’ with Milky Chance in an abandoned building). However, as it can be seen in this live performance you brought today, their own music in German is also very good! If you haven’t seen yet, Henning’s magical performance of their song ‘Ozean’ is a must watch/listen to (from the Frankfurt concert, only him and his acoustic guitar). Yes Sir, your gamble was a complete winner for me and I can’t thank you enough for this great surprise :) I hope you’ll bring some more of your amazing analyzes on AnnenMayKantereit’s music in the future; danke schön!✌

⁠⁠@@SirHairless You're welcome and thank you again! If I'm not mistaken, their cover of 'Come together' in a garage (or somewhere like that) also added some interesting ‘texture’ to Henning's powerful voice and the cool bassline. Sir, I'm curious to know if you know/like the band Polyphia?

No, I still don't know about so many things... and that's wanderful because I like to believe that I still have an ocean of new cool things to discover out there :) It's amazing that you haven't heard about Polyphia yet because this way you can share this wonderful discovery with us!! AMK are a great band and Henning May is one of a kind, definitely worth more reactions! Pls. check AMK "Ich geh heut nicht mehr tanzen" (Proberaum Session) - another reprise live version (without audience) of an older song, I prefer it over the older studio and live versions as it has a great additional horn section, Also they have a new bass player, a french lady who grooves like hell... They starts as street musicians just a few years ago and now they filling whole arenas on their tours. They also have still videos of that time on their yt channel. So cool 😎

Great analysis as always, SH! ❤😊 Your reactions are always worth watching! I didn’t know the song before (although the chorus sounds kinda familiar.) 🤔 But it‘s brilliant. 😊 Catchy and funny and it makes me nostalgic at the same time. The first time the singer laughed, was when he sang, that when the kids wanted to watch tv, they had to *ASK* 😂 Implying that today is different and everything was better back then. (Which he later negates, even though the ICQ (chat-program) was ”nice”) When he sings about the "bulls" being green, he means the Police. They had green uniforms back then. And when they switched to blue uniforms people missed the green ones. 😊❤ I was never a fan of Linda de Mol, but there was a time when she was everywhere. 😂 (I believe that was because she is related to the biggest producer of gameshows, which all came from the Netherlands at that time) RTL2 showed lots of kids shows in the afternoons. And the postal service of the state was yellow (gelb). They delivered every letter and package. So there were no private services like DHL.

It's nice that you also react to other "not so well-known" artists. Perhaps on some occasion you have noticed the singer's "grater voice", which can sing even deeper. I admit to having heard this song for the first time. The sound here is really very catchy (gives me a lot of Russian vibes, I have no idea why). In addition to Henning May's distinctive voice, the group is actually known for its songs that deal with problems in everyday life. Unfortunately, the lyrics are often too "ordinary" for me personally (e.g. "The birds shit from the sky, and I'm watching it") Apparently you have to love that, I for one have a bit of a hard time with it. But this does not apply to this song, which awakens nostalgic feelings in everyone whose childhood was before or at the beginning of the IT age. I'm pleased to have become aware of it.

I'm so confused:) I found you and stuck around through PTX reations and somehow you found AnnenMayKantereit (your pronunciation of the somg title and band name are spot on btw) one of my favourites. They have loads of amtzing songs originals and covers. i would recommend listening to their "Proberaum Sessions",( f.e "Ausgehen" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f7-jY910qpuZf30.html) Everything I heard is so interesting and quit veratile. Their musicality and Hennings voice are such a special treat! They did a big arena tour last year and started out busking, i think during their highschool years (around 2010) in Köln(Cologne). Great career!

Your German pronunciation is realy good Dieses Lied kannte ich noch gar nicht, ich höre sehr wenig deutsche Musik, aber ich fühle jedes Wort. unsere Kindheit war wirklich nicht schlecht zu der Zeit. RTL 2 ist ein TV Sender und Linda moderierte eine Sendung in der Kinder sich in ihre Lieblingssänger Verwandeln durften und ein Song auf der Bühne Performen durften, so wie ihre Idole/Stars. Well the note might have come from a parallel Quantum dimension 😅 Anyway it’s a catchy song, I find it amusing that a young man (the lead singer was born in the same year as my youngest son) makes a nostalgic song. Also ich ein Kind war very few people had a telephone or tv in their home

Creo que es momento de que reacciones al mejor cantante de Latino América. Capaz de tocar hasta la última célula de cuerpo con su voz única. Su nombre es JUAN GABRIEL. Algunas de sus mejores canciones son "AMOR ETERNO" (muy emocional) y "HASTA QUE TE CONOCÍ". Un verdadero showman cómo nunca se vió.

Henning May sang the AnnenMayKantereit song “Tommi” at a pub, and it was joyous. The patrons are enjoying themselves so much and when everybody starts to sing it is sensational.
